How Would People Live After Synthesis?

Synthesis is presented as the Utopian ending, everyone's cheery, better off, and in peace.  Yet, how would they even know how to live their lives?  How would they live with Reapers and husks?

Their genetic structure  has been extremely altered, or "improved."  How would they eat/find energy?  How would they deal with their enviornments?  Could they get hurt or sick?  If so, how do they know how to heal themselves when they probably don't understand how their own biology works anymore?

I know, it's another thread complaining about/questioning the logic of Synthesis, but I was curious if anyone's managed to think of an answer for this sort of thing.

Everlasting peace. And unity. And uniformity.

Metal men on a metal Earth thinking metal thoughts.

With green oily things appearing on their bodies and with green eyes.

The more you think about it, the less sense Synthesis makes (it didn't even make sense in the first place), the more insane you become.

I can't even come up with anything snide here. Just at an utter loss.

First, they have communication with the Reapers, so all required knowledge would be gained from them.

Second, they have just been out of a war. Having an end to such a bloody crisis will create a utopian like state for a time. Or isn't there always some moments of peace after an immense struggle, a thing to look back at and say "at least it isn't THAT bad."

I'm sure later on the effects of Synthesis will come to realisation. People commiting suicide, conflict, and generally the restoration of a normal, disfunctional, society.

You do not have any clue how this would look like.
That's why it's impossible for Sheprad to pick this optinon in his situation.

Even the mutilation of their racial identity caused the victims no physical pain the moment synthesis was forced onto them. No shock, no fear, no panic. Just happy faces. Not sure what can cause that. Brainwashing, indoctrination, mind control. Something like that.

I don't want to write a lot of sentences, so I don't. Just want to say that I wouldn't have any problem living with Reapers and husks after synthesis, for the same reson I loved Legion after first shooting every Geth.

With the implication of them all being connected to the Reapers and with each other, possibly the imposition of a collective will.

Congratulations, you just created the Borg.

With the new synthesised beings fire-bombing any planet where primitive organic life has spontaneously evolved, like it tends to, so that the new organics don't eventually build synthetics that will fight with the organics and yadda yadda yadda.

Synthetics can now kill organics for vengeance rather than indifference

Would the Reapers know anything about this, themselves?

Yes, they were trying to do it before, but they've never actually succeeded.  Unless the husks count as successful synthesis.  And unless Synthesis itself is just the sugar-coated version of everyone becoming husks, I don't think they would know anything about these people's current state of mind, biology, etc.

They don't have scanners that could explain all unknown information after all, right?  They didn't have a schematic for how this would turn out, exactly?

The ability to surpass mortality? Overpopulation...then the Reapers decide that they have to harvest 1/3 of the galaxy to maintain the Utopia.

Remember synthesis does not solve organic / organic conflicts

How does it even solve synthetic / organic conflicts?  I don't recall an explanation other than...I guess..."unity=good."

Anyhow, I always figured it was something like what Angry One and AngryFrozenWater suggested - just a huge brainwash/overpowering will or the like forcing everyone to get along.  No more Javiks allowed. ;p

After Synthesis, the people are gone.  The hybrid organisms that took their places seem to be getting on alright though.  After their own fashion, that is.

Synthetics may now be exposed to things like divorce, hunger, etc

They are also robbed of the chance to dominate the world

You people think way too much about synthesis and take it way to literally...
I will stop explaining what I think synthesis is all about, since most of you just repeating the same bs over and over again. Brainwashing, pfffffffffffffff....

Aye.  And the former organics now have the power to realize, not only their greatest dreams, but their most terrible nightmares aswell.  And, of course, dream for one man may be a nightmare for another.
