My computer is not all that great, running a Galaxy Geforce 8400GS with 512 Mb ; 1 gig of ram, and an old intel pentium 4 3.2 Ghz Processor.
I have been able to play on medium graphics and texture settings without any major lags ; but recently, after trying out random mods and the DLC content, my game for whatever reason, utterly chokes @ss randomly on dialogue cequences.
When I say chokes @ss, I mean that it completely freezes, to the point where it is so slow I can't even move the mouse around, and it stays on one frame for minutes. Sometimes It gets so bad that CTRL ALT DEL Won't even come up, even after waiting a few minutes; in which case I usually just have to hard-boot my system.
Its random, sometimes it can happen immediately after opening a conversaiton with somebody, or after a few moments or none at all. Again, this only began happening recently , after downloading various mods such as respec and a few equipment add-ons , as well as some minor tweaks ; but nothing major. I do not even have the toolset installed.
But to be honest I can't see how the mods I downloaded, which were really not complicated to any degree, and shouldn't have had any effect on dialogue -- would effect the game.
So is there a chance this may be more of a hardware problem? I'm not sure. But Its deffinately Frusturating
And has anyone else experienced anything like this? Any ideas how to fix it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
