*Not a thread about whether New Game+ is good/bad/lame/godly.
*Discussing the possibilty of creating a new game+ mod with the current toolset

With the new version of the toolset, all OC resources are available to us.

Which means now we CAN go simply reset all OC plot flags. Its going to take a lot of copy and pasting but its doable, no doubt. Conveniently almost all plot flags have a default value of 'FALSE'. After that, we just have to work out some script to restart the PC's background story with the PC's stats/skill intact, with or without the old inventory items.

Ideally, the PC can go get recruited by Duncan, kill all mages, spank loghain and stab a dragon in the neck once again with the gear and skills from the previous playthrough.

But looking through the Single Player Campaign resources i noticed one thing...

Some Conversation lines are flagged as "Only show line once per game". (refer to line settings-->Visibility under conversation editor)
Unlike Plot Flags, I don't think there's a way to reset them via scripting, or is there????

New Game+ is a bit of a silly concept for DA:O.

All you really need to do is activate the console, set your character to the desired level and skill set, then dump whatever items you want to have in your character's inventory through one of the various item-granting mods that already exist. This is assuming you don't want to keep the reputation levels you had for the various companions, which could be a bad thing for some of them.

To me, a more interesting concept would be a game continuation, where all areas are opened back up to let you wander about with them repopulated. I'm working on this myself.

Wow, the first line i posted was "*Not a thread about whether New Game+ is good/bad/lame/godly."
And there you go.

Of course you can start a new game, use the invisible console to add skills and 80 something items you had. You can even make an external save file editor that imports things from endgame saves. But im looking at a in-game mod that automatically does that for you using a custom script.

Anyway for your post-endgame continuation thing, just go search for cam9000ar_endgame.nss in the Single Player campaign. That script pretty much defines all the whole empty post-endgame state we have currently. Hope that helps you to not go off-topic here.

.....On-topic. Character approval can be accessed by scripting, so its still possible to choose to retain or reset them. It will be slightly trickier because the SetFollowerApprovalEnabled() function resets approval when set to false. i have no idea when this function is used in the Single Player campaign yet.

But for conversations(.dlg files), anyone found a way to reset the "Only show line once per game" flag?
