No, it makes you a genocidal monster, whether you felt bad for the Geth/Edi or not, your still killing them, I rather refuse and die as a formed galaxy.

That makes you even more of a "genocidal monster".

So you choose refuse and allow everyone to die instead of just the geth and edi? That sounds even worse. Plus the Geth and Edi are a necessary sacrifice to make sure the Reaper threat is gone. Control and Synthesis don't accomplish that.

Yes, I rather all die as a galaxy than to have to do something a starbrat told me and commit genocide to a species that had agreed to help me. "I won't let fear comprimise who i am"

So you sacrifice everyone for nothing? ok glad we cleared that up.

No, I fulfill what we as a galaxy agreed to do, defeat the reapers or die trying. Not control them, or co-exist with them, We die free knowing that we did everything we could have done to defeat the reapers and never gave in to the Catalyst flawed logic.

but the galaxy didnt agree to this, just your assembled fleet, soldiers who have taken a oath to lay down their lives. There a trillons more civilians in the galaxy who have not been consulted, who are simply trying to survive, and whos suffering has bought you time to assembly that fleet and build the crucible. And now youre not gonna use it because it offends your principles?   "ask the dead if honour matters, their silence is the answer."

Destroy ending = Phyrric Victory for Shepard. Granted you saved all organic life...but the cost was too high. Perhaps new Geth could be constructed from the remnants and recovered from thier data. EDI as well if you really think about it

I accidentally chose "Refuse" and for a few seconds, I was happy with the decision. When Shepard started talking about dying on his terms, I was thinking "Yeah!!! This is what Shepard has been fighting for..." I said that I "accidentally" chose Refuse because I didn't know that Shepard would just stand there, doing nothing, after making such a moving speech.

My Shepard fought to kill the Reapers; period. He needed an option where something would BLOW UP; preferably the Reapers. If he had strapped on an explosive vest and jumped onto the Reaper guarding the beam; that would have been cool. My Shepard was self-sacrificing like that. My Shepard only wanted to do harm to those who had harmed him, his friends and his allies. He did not want to sacrifice those that he had worked so hard to save; to help evolve to a state of self-awareness. This is why I chose Refuse. I thought that I would see Shepard blowing up something up while taking some baddies with him.

But alas, it was not to be... This is why I will choose Destroy on my next attempt; it's the only option that offers explosions!!!

...And the pointless debate of same arguments lingers on.

Sad.

If you actually took time to consider each others' opinions and views... But no. You refuse to listen, you block anything that might cause you to think over your boundaries. You reject anyone else's thoughts and opinions because you think that you are the only one who has actually thought about the case.

Why bother writing here if you are only protecting your own views (with ridiculous arguments that are based solely on feelings and picking from that kind of things from the games that support your cause) instead of being open to other possibilities?

Being all black and white and accepting only one truth (your own) is so immature I cannot even comprehend it.

If you think your truth (which actually is pretty much just emotion and childish belief) is the only correct one, the best one, you have stopped learning and are jammed in that level of development. And I just say it's not a very high level.

I didn't expect much from this forum, but still I'm disappointed.

Though there were good arguments, too, which were mostly just ignored...

Unfortunately, I strongly suspect that few here are going to be particularly concerned over your personal state of 'disappointment'.

Still, look on the bright side. There's plenty of other threads here, or forums elsewhere, so all is not lost.

And your truth is more truthfull then others?

Don't get all "holier than thou" just because people don't agree with your views.

I just wanted to say that all three options present risks.

With the Destroy option you could ensure peace for some time, only for the technological singularity the Reapers feared to appear and to erase all organic life from our galaxy.

Synthesis...well, people think there´s a lack of diversity (though I don´t really think so) and well, the issue with the Husks etc. still remains. But the people are changed somehow, so they´ll view them differently from us. (and come on, this is the Utopia-option in ME, so in-universe there are rainbows and ponies everywhere :D).

The Control-ending might lead to "Shepard" going crazy and starting the cycle anew...

And the morality of each of these options is questionable - but when you have to decide in your last moment, you don´t have the freaking time to discuss it...

Allowing the Reapers to continue the Harvest with No way of stopping them,is somehow morally correct. Shepard's Solution is the only way. The United Galaxy is wrong. Building and using the Crucible as agreed upon by the United Galaxy is wrong. Any who can not see it this way is wrong. And Shepard's solution is the only correct one. Lay down and die fighting because I (Shepard)  demand it. Reminds me of the Catalyst.

If anything, the Star Kid is the one who created this damn singularity to start with.

Destroy is pretty much the only way to drop kick his butt out of the window and start a clean slate doing things our way.

(Unfortunately, Refuse isn't a valid choice because it still forces you to pick any of the three other endings because you still can't even win in Refuse.)

I had assumed he was lying about destroying Geth and EDI. That bastard.

And that's why I don't choose Reject. Nicely put :) Do you kill the geth to save the rest, or do you refuse and let everyone die? Tough call to make, but not that hard to understand.

I already saw your comments.

My point was; that text I bolded can work both ways, and you ranting about letting emotion cloud judgement was unnecessary and almost hypoctitical. (Considering we all do it.)

If they're not actually joking, then yes I agree.
