I have had the same issue. My auto saves still worked however. I am currently re-installing the game to see if it helps. Remapping the quick save key also did not help.

I've had this happen to me before.  Try tracking down the quicksave folder in

My Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/Characters//Saves/QuickSave_1

and deleting it.  Started working for me again after the game tried to create a new quicksave folder.

I deleted it from inside the game. The folder is no longer there and the issue is still occurring. :(

I'm having the same problem.

I quickloaded, and was thrown back waaay longer than I expected :(

The biggest issue isn't just that it fails, but that it fails silently, so I really thought I had saved.

Will try deleting the quicksave and see what happens.

Did anyone get a resolution for this?

I get the quicksave... quicksaving dialog and I assume it has saved, but when I go to the load screen, the quicksave file has not been updated. I can delete the quicksave folder in windows albeit with a slight delay - it says basically "windows cannot find the file/folder you are looking for".

After deleting the quicksave file I can create a new quicksave - once. Then I'd have to manually delete again to quicksave.

I think the issue occurred after I installed the toolset. But I note on a different character, the quicksave function performs normally - i.e. I can press F5 every 5 seconds and it would update the quicksave file as normal.

Regular manual saving works as normal. Any ideas?

for me it ended up being a windows 7 issue, you have to go in and make sure the you have given yourself full access to the folder. its under folder properties, you may have to make sure you have permission. if not hit the edit button to giveyourself permission and problem solved.

If you are not gaining permissions to files and documents in your logged-in user folder, you may have an underlying OS issue you should be resolving.
