One of my files is a low-EMS run, wherin I attempt to screw over the galaxy as much as possible and earn that bad ending. This is rendered difficult because I enjoy multiplayer, and so the galactic readiness keeps building up and the promotions from weekend events never seem to go away. It's a rather big chunk of war assets, those six N7 team assets I have, and I was wondering if there was a way to make them not apply?

Especially with the extended cut out and how it lowered the EMS requirement for everything.

You could try disconnecting your Internet connection before you start playing single player and seeing if that helps. As far as I know, there is no way to turn off N7 promotions from single player.

i think you can avoid it by not doing the N7 missions (Hackett won't send the teams in if you don't do the missions), on my latest playthrough, i am certain it didn't show up until i did the one on Sanctum. i wasn't 100% sure, so i asked Mike Gamble about on Twitter, but never got a response.

No connection to EA servers seems to reset your galaxy readiness and exclude N7 assets from multiplayer until you connect again.

You could always start a new game. If I'm not entirely mistaken, the N7 teams are only added to one save. So you could funnel all your multplayer bonus points into that "fake" save and use the original for your ****ty ending.

War Assets from N7 teams count for every career, so you'd either have to disconnect from the internet or use Gibbed.

Yep. The N7 war asset applies to every new game. I know because I just started a new playthrough (literally just finished mars) and my war assets are already 4400 (3600 of which is N7 Special Ops). However, the people above are right. If your internet is disconnected, it won't read the War Assets from multiplayer. I actually begged the development team to fix that, because the whole reason I played multiplayer was so I could get high war assets without stressing it when I lose my internet in a few months.

well, there's my theory disproven, then.

On the PC if you set Origin to offline mode you won't have to unplug your internet cable (not sure if there is something similar for the consoles). The only catch is your Galaxy Readiness rating will stay at 100%, so you might have to wait a bit for that to erode.
