2. 0, nothing good happen with it.
3. 7, emotionally satisfying, some plotholes fixed, Reject ending is fun, Destroy and Control improved by much, Catalyst as a flawed design makes sense, Synthesis only got worse
4. While I did do Reject first time( I wanted to see it for lols), my final choice is Control and my opinion is unchanged and reinforced. It is the only satisfying ending for me. Well OK, Reject is kinda too.

1) What Choice did you pick your first time through
2) On a scale of 1-10 rate the pre-EC ending
3) On a Scale of 1-10 rate the post-EC ending
4) Did you at some point change what was your personal Shepard's "canon" choice, and if so what did you change to and why.
1) Synthesis -- couldn't kill Edi/Geth, and control was too obviously what Illusive Man was trying, and I'd JUST told everyone that was stupid. Not acceptable either, but best of three bad choices to Shepard in the original context.
2) 3--I respect the construction, but it really made me unhappy.
3) 6--still the same unhappiness, but Bioware/EA put a lot of extra work in for no additional profit. I respect that.
4) Yes--Control. Synthesis, after more thought, is actually the antithesis of what my Paragon Shepard has been working for the entire time. Diversity and cooperation. Reducing everyone to the same thing is not acceptable. Destroy remains unacceptable to her because of the same reasons listed above. She 'risks' control... and becomes a demigoddess, protecting the universe, her fleet ominously watching...

2) 1 - Did I mention I was kinda pissed off about it. Two play throughs to the ending and then pulled the plug.
3) 4 - At least I could reject the 3 choices.
4) I didn't change my cannon choice, it just wasn't there in the beginning. Let me just say, I was trying really heard to save everyone so I went with synthesis, but it bothered me. I hated that choice. Once I realized what the 3 endings were I was destroy only until EC let me refuse.
4) Did you at some point change what was your personal Shepard's "canon" choice, and if so what did you change to and why.

Side-note: My first time through was not my canon-Shepard. She picked Destroy.

2. A Three, Horrible closure, utilizing a Deus Ex Machina (The Catalyst), Plotholes, and having Shepard out of character. All of these just made for a bad ending
3. A Seven, While the ending still suffered from bad writing, it gave better closure, fix some plotholes, made the Catalyst a little more bearable, and even retconn things for players like the Normandy Crash and Relays. All of these things made the ending satisfactory for me, and renewed some of my faith in Bioware.
4.Still chose Destory, I normally don't change what I chose the first time around in RPG games, for my main character.

4. I didn't change anything. Though the EC made the other endings look much better.

2. -2. the ending was terrible and i would rather just end it by marauder sheilds.
3. 1. its a little better but its still just basicaly ****, only this time it has sprinkles.... that taste like ******.
4. Yes. after i understood that destroy was the only real ending, even though it has no real closure, i always pick that. hoping for bioware to fix the ending and release the indoctrination dlc.

2. 0 it wasn't even an ending.
3. 4 It was a major improvement but I felt the catalyst and the choices did not fit the theme of mass effect.
4. Refuse, We fight on our terms, not some silly deus ex plot device.

1) Synthesis after deliberating over the choice for a good 5 minutes. Didn't want to kill EDI and the geth, didn't want to admit TIM was right, and I was still confused over the complete narrative swap and just settled for the green one.
2) Unforgettable for all the wrong reasons, 4/10.
3) Forgettable, bordering on tolerable, 6/10.
4) Yes, Destroy. After considering all the facts and results of Control and Synthesis, Destroy is the only true ending. Control is admitting the only real enemy of the game (TIM and by extension Cerberus) was correct, Synthesis is allowing the reapers to get off scott free for thousands of years of genocide.

I want to avoid replies in this thread so PLEASE don't reply to this, but I felt I needed to respond to your question. Yes I am skimming these and I will read them and organize the data later once I have more responses. Read my edit to the original post to see my plans regarding future discussion.

Destroy.
judging by the scores I'm seeing so far, people who already liked the original "ending" liked EC, and vice versa.
The ending just completely did a 180 at the last 10 minutes with the theme of the story. WE CAN BEAT THE REAPERS, YES. only together we can! (last 10 minutes) oh wait, no we can't... must... pick... a color.

4) No, but I think I might pick Control as my absolutely FINAL choice, after the last SP DLC has been released and I play through the entire trilogy again at that point.

3) According to what I've seen on YouTube, still 1.
4) I'd love to answer this one, but Mac told me that my Shepard is no longer my Shepard - it's actually his Shepard, and I need to enjoy what Mac does with him/her.

3)Still feeling generous, although the game is only "bad" now instead of "terrible": 4/10
4)I feel like a quote from a fellow fan would be best:
