2) 1.
To keep the extremely long extremely short, it failed in every way I can think of.
3) 2.
It was a good effort and provided the best they could out of this ending, but it is still the same ending with almost all of the same exact issues as before. Plot holes that were "solved" were handwaved with a couple ret cons and thrown-in lines, and the epilogue only gave a slightly more emotionally effective and hopeful end while being a thin veil to throw over the problems it was meant to solve (you still don't know what happened to the world based on your actions, and your actions don't really matter (beyond the now four choices available)). All other issues were utterly ignored.
The ending required a complete change, so the EC was never going to solve its issues.
4) I changed it to "Refuse"/"Reject." Not because I liked the ending (other than my amusement of how it went/how it came off/everyone's reaction to it), but because even failing, because of standing by my own principles, is preferable to the insulting, terrible, nonsensical options I'm otherwise given.

2) 1
3) 2
4) Refuse, Was hoping for something better than having to surrender to starboy, but got the middle finger from BioWare. Reloded and picked destroy.

2. 1 An epic of awfulness.
3. 4. Still awful but not epically so.
4. No, see # 1.

Synthesis
2) On a scale of 1-10 rate the pre-EC ending
3
3) On a Scale of 1-10 rate the post-EC ending
7
4) Did you at some point change what was your personal Shepard's "canon" choice, and if so what did you change to and why.
No. My decision has remained unchanged. Synthesis seems like the best all around decision. Every decision has it's downsides, but the downside to Synthesis (sparing the Catalyst and Reapers) seemed more acceptable to my sense of morality vs. betraying allies or taking ultimate power for myself. Also, it's implied that the Catalyst - as a Synthetic himself - will receive these upgrades and will himself have a better understanding of organic life, have emotion, and will be "redeemed" in a way.

2) 3 Point as it violated too many themes already established in the series and was anti-climatic, unfittiing and unworthy beyond my wildest imagination
3) 4 Points, as it doesn't change anything for me. It is still the same, just more of it. Still no reunion, which is the msot important thing to make me feel triumphant and satisfied instead of railroaded and dissapointed.
4) No, there is only one canon-choice anyway, yet this was not implemented by Bioware into the game

2) 2 (I hated it!)
3) 7 (Not perfect - and still full of holes - but a vast improvement)
4) Nope. Destroy all the way. Though I liked the addition of a 'reject' option.

4) I've changed it to destroy in my second play through, long before EC and it stayed destroy, but I've watched all the other ones as well. I've changed it after reading a lot about Indoctrination Theory and actually I became a fan of IT.

2. 6-as it sparked a lot of discussion, and left options to create something for each player. Their own opinion of what happened.
3.3-too much spoon fed crap.
4. Never, only one option.

2. 1-10 scale: 1. Total, abject, complete, utter failure of narrative cohesion, theme, tone, characterization, narrative arc....just utterly abysmal on every "basics of storytelling" marker, and poorly written to boot.
3: 2. They handwaved a lot, violated their own canon(Nothing higher-mass than a frigate can land and take off again. SR-1 was a frigate. SR-2 is almost twice the mass. The evac COULD NOT HAPPEN by their own universe's rules.) But they still managed to find a tiny bit of emotion. A shred.
4. Refuse. Because all the endings make us lose. So I may as well lose on my own terms.

4) I'v been thinking over the last few days whether Synthesis or Destroy will be my canon ending. I'm thinking Synthesis so I guess no.

2. 6 - It wasn't bad in terms of being ambiguous, but the Normandy crash-landing bit was utter nonsense and really spoiled it, in fact it completely ruined it. I'll be honest, they only really needed to remove that scene for it to be a great ending.
3. 8 - The additional exposition from the Catalyst with regards to its own origins is great, though the additional details of what happens with each choice before you make it are a little heavy-handed. The evac scene at least explained away the later crash scene.
4. Destroy still. Synthesis is a nice idea, but it doesn't sit well with me. Control is a really good ending, but it's somewhat sinister. Destroy is essentially the ruthless calculus of war - however, you see Shepard, whom is part synthetic, breathe again. And you don't see any dead Geth in the destroy ending - who's to say ALL synthetic life dies.
As an aside - if the Refuse ending took into account your EMS, whereby a high score would mean the combined force of all the fleets would fight off and defeat the reapers, then I'd definitely choose that. Sadly, EMS is still rendered utterly pointless.

2- 4
3- 6
4- Destroy
Score stays low because the ME2 Squaddies/LIs got shafted still. I don't care if they can die, they were alive in my playthrough.

Ok, I want to collect some data on reactions to the ending, but I don't think the BSN poll system will allow me to properly frame this question. I will present it as 3 questions below. Individually these are all questions that have been asked many times before, however I think seeing these answers together will provide valuable insight into people's feelings on the game and ending.
1) What Choice did you pick your first time through
Synthesis.
2) On a scale of 1-10 rate the pre-EC ending
8
3) On a Scale of 1-10 rate the post-EC ending
10
4) Did you at some point change what was your personal Shepard's "canon" choice, and if so what did you change to and why.
No.

4. No... it's a game, not reality. Synthesis is still weird and interesting.

2) 1.
3) 3. Improvement due to payoff - with Relays intact and crew not stranded, there can be consequences to your decisions. Catalyst prevents a higher score.
4) Changed from Control to Destroy. Originally picked Control to use Reapers as a substitute galactic transport system if the relays were destroyed. Changed to Destroy after remembering everything ME has talked about getting technology before you are ready, stagnation once there are no limitations, my own doubts about how much power one individual should weild, and a general distrust of anyone who says he'll do anything I say but only if a step in the blender right now. Changed before EC was released, but EC release has cemented it.

3) 4 - I would've been a lot happier if they would have added a scene of Shep greeting the Normandy after they return from their crash landing, I hate "it's implied" at the end of a long story.
4) Not really, destroy was always my first choice.
