I didn't. I turned off my XBox in disgust.

2) On a scale of 1-10 rate the pre-EC ending

1. It was utterly nonsensical. And for some reason the people who made a game that showed all your choices had consequences actually thought that people would not want to see the consequences of their final choice.

3) On a Scale of 1-10 rate the post-EC ending

I'll give it a 3. It is still nonsensical. Even more so. The more the bratalyst speaks, the less sense the ending makes. But at least they tried to explain it more. They retconned some plot holes (such as how did your ground team get on the normandy and why are they in the middle of nowhere).  They elaborated on their endings because that is what just normal. Not doing so in the first place was just pure laziness. They also added Refuse with an awesome Paragon shepard speech, so that gets them a pass on being upset that we shoot the bratalyst.

Nope. The ending still does my head in.

Control, because i was distracted for a moment during that scene and assumed blue would mean paragon and thus destroy the reapers, cause i don't consider control to be a paragon choice.

2) On a scale of 1-10 rate the pre-EC ending

7

Nope, didn't do the first playthrough with my canon character. Anything else besides destroy isn't an option.

If I have to be honest I picked synthesis the first time, simply because I was in a daze and didn't know what was going on.
Before: 0
After: 5.5 It now passes as an ending. A lot of concerns have been disarmed but  few have been fixed.
I chose Control. I am currently satisfied because I gave up on the entire ME universe and Control brings me personal satisfaction.

^ This ...

I was in to much shock to even pay attention enough  to care  what I picked. I just keep going forward and boom Green Space Magic.

After the EC? I would give the endings a 5.

I choose Control now its is satisfying enoug for me and to care about it anymor .

1) Destroy - in a heartbeat, i mean, what would Jesus do?
2) 0,5 - Pure neglection on BioWares behalf
3) 7 - This is what the ending shouldve LOOKED like, but I still wont agree on the lack of choice and possible outcomes
4) No, as Javik said, victory can never come without making tough choices, sacrifices has to be made, so destroy is the way to go

1 - Destroy without hesitation

2 - 3

3 - 6

4 - No, Hackett said it. Dead Reapers are how we win this. Destroy is the mean to that end for me

1) destroy
2) 1. This was really terrible.
3) 3. it barely improves anything, only plays with my feelings towards my squadmates, and making the catalyst sounding even more insane.
3) no. tried all the endings, but always came back to destroy. definitely.

1) Control
2) 3. The Catalysts logic didn't make sense, plot holes,no answers, no closure.
3) 7. The Catalysts logic only makes a little bit of sense now, still has some plot holes, got some answers, got some closure.Could've been better, could've been worse. This should have been in the vanilla game.
4) Yes.I switched to Destroy because I didn't want the Reapers around anymore.I regretted the fact that the Geth and synthetics had to die.I had low EMS so I didn't get the Shepard breath scene.
When I played the EC, I chose Refusal just to see how that ending panned out.I think I'm going to stick with Refusal on my 'canon' Shep.

1)Destroy. Didn't believe the whole organics vs synthetics thing, and felt it was basically the Starchild trying to convince us not to destroy the Reapers. One of those "Don't do it! You need us!" type of things.
2) 1
3) 3
4) No.

Post EC ending passes the test because it gives a hopeful future. Pre-EC I was unable to play a second playthrough because I didn't want to turn the galaxy into a wasteland and doom all the fleets. EC made the game replayable for me. -4 points for space kid's existence and his quaint ideas about organics and synthetics.

Also good for you Samantha for not giving up on Shepard in the end. I knew you wouldn't!

1: Destroy
2: 2   [One point for me unexpectedly surviving, and another for it feeling at least like I was telling the Catalyst to go **** himself]
3: 7  [I felt satisfied, but -1 for EDI dying but the relays being repairable - I had thought of this as rejecting the Reapers' technology and way of doing things - -1 for the Reapers still being someone else's ****, and -1 for there still being some significant plot holes]
4: I was tempted to try Reject, but ended up sticking with Destroy as is.

As an additional point, I feel like I ought to say that I think that the EC is what the ending *should* have been in the first place, for what Bioware was intending.

4) Yes, I changed to control after my first playthrough. I didn't want the synthetics to be sacrificed, and I wanted to use the reapers for the galaxy's advantage.

1. Destroy
2. 1
3. 4, only minor bare minimum improvements
4. No. I did view the other endings but found their meaning abhorrent. And now that we know for a fact EDI and the Geth die destroy remains my canonical choice.

1) I picked destroy. Or, to be more specific, I TRIED to pick destroy but ended up with control instead. I didn't even realise until I went on the BSN board. Then I went back, loaded my game and picked destroy properly. Goddamn space magic blinded me!

2) 2

3) 5 (being generous)

4) No sirre.

Ok, I want to collect some data on reactions to the ending, but I don't think the BSN poll system will allow me to properly frame this question. I will present it as 3 questions below. Individually these are all questions that have been asked many times before, however I think seeing these answers together will provide valuable insight into people's feelings on the game and ending.

1) What Choice did you pick your first time through

2) On a scale of 1-10 rate the pre-EC ending

3) On a Scale of 1-10 rate the post-EC ending

4) Did you at some point change what was your personal Shepard's "canon" choice, and if so what did you change to and why.

Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Let me say this before it becomes an issue. Please do not post responses to people's answers in this thread, this thread is for answering the above questions ONLY. If I get a large number of responses, I will create a second thread where I link to this one for discussion purposes.

1) - Synthesis

2) - 3/10

3) - 8/10

4) - I changed to Destroy pre EC because of the breath scene so thought that shepard was IT.  I then went back to Synthesis as I felt this was the 'right' choice

1) Destroy

2) 1

3) 3, just because Refusal was added (not that they did much with it)

4) Nope. My Shep could pick Refusal next time, though. Of course I'm still trying to find the will to play the game again.

I am not adding points just because Bioware made the EC. The EC did not change any of the things that I though was fundamentally wrong with the ending.

4) Changed to destroy pre EC

For my main Shepard

1. Synthesis
2. 6 (I rate it this high for the convos w/ TIM and Anderson. From the magic elevator on I'd give it a 2)
3. 8.5 (The conversation w/ the Catalyst I'd have to give a 3. It is so badly written that it deserves -11, but I did gain information from it so I'll be generous.)
4. My first playthrough I choose Synthesis. Second playthrough was Destroy. EC back to Synthesis.

1) Synthesis. Deep down I wanted to pick destroy, so I turned back but alas I was too late, the cutscene began. Then I realised how stupid synthesis really is :/
2) 2
3) 5. I particularly liked how they handled the control ending. And I liked the addition of the refuse ending even if it did come across as a giant middle finger.
4) I played with the idea of whatever happens, happens, and so for my first play through, unfortunately due to bad timing and confusion, that canon ending became synthesis. But personally, with hindsight I'd like to think destroy or refuse as the real canon ending for my Shepard.

1- Synthesis
2- 2/10
3- 8/10
4- Control is now my go-to ending. I picked synthesis somewhat on impulse, without analyzing the logic presented to me. Now that I know that we become culturally stagnant Antispirals in Synthesis, I'm cool with being God-Emporer Shepard.

1. Destroy
2. Idea: 4.9/10, somewhere in the middle between Total crap and Brilliant. Execution: 4/10. Seriously, BioWare after that CGI trailers you only rendered like 3 cheap cinematics with 3 different colors? Was there power failure, earthquake, tornado in Canada or what?
3. Idea: 5/10 basicaly the same stuff but bit more info. Execution: 7.5/10. Still far from CGI trailers but much much better overall. Should be in the game from start.
4. If we speaking about ending i changed from Destroy to Refuse. This in my opinion gives future cycle info and chance to defeat the Reapers on their own terms. Perhaps even before the war start. Its sad but it gives hope. BUT if BioWare 100% confirms that the future cycle also used the Crucible to win i consider Refuse option as FU from devs and change back to Destroy.
