3.) 6.5/10 (really didn't care much about the ending in the first place)
4.) No, because as far as control goes...IT'S OUR ONLY HOPE!!

Destroy.
2) On a scale of 1-10 rate the pre-EC ending
can I say a "negative ten" because it was just so goddamn bad?
3) On a Scale of 1-10 rate the post-EC ending
4.5, still awful and the "refusal ending" still feels like a "screw you" from the devs to me. (I knew people were asking for a chance to refuse all the choices and STILL WIN THE CURRENT CYCLE.)
4) Did you at some point change what was your personal Shepard's "canon" choice, and if so what did you change to and why.
Nope. Destroying the reapers has always been my goal. Seeing Kaidan's sad face in EC (when he pleaded me not to send him back to Normandy) pissed me off even more because how could I ever pick anything else? I could have picked Refusal if I wasn't alerted to the problems about it on the forums. :|
While I do think EC has somewhat improved things, it's not perfect and the refusual ending bothers me a lot. It's just insulting to realize that the devs aren't still connecting with us when we just want them to be awesome like they used to be, right?
We have been giving them feedback and it feels like they aren't actually using it to better themselves >.<

2) 9 - Loved the Music, the mystery, the feeling of being exausted
3) 7 - Some things were explained but overall too much of a "take you by the hand"
4) No

2) 5. Felt bitter.
3) 9. Felt good. The endings were different, and the new refuse ending is good. Kinda wondering if I would still play video games if it deserved 1 or 2 in my eyes though...
4) I changed to destroy before EC came out because I didn't want my Shepard to die for that. Returned to synthesis when EC came out. My second Shepard's choice was destroy.

Ok, I want to collect some data on reactions to the ending, but I don't think the BSN poll system will allow me to properly frame this question. I will present it as 3 questions below. Individually these are all questions that have been asked many times before, however I think seeing these answers together will provide valuable insight into people's feelings on the game and ending.
1) What Choice did you pick your first time through
2) On a scale of 1-10 rate the pre-EC ending
3) On a Scale of 1-10 rate the post-EC ending
4) Did you at some point change what was your personal Shepard's "canon" choice, and if so what did you change to and why.
Feedback would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Let me say this before it becomes an issue. Please do not post responses to people's answers in this thread, this thread is for answering the above questions ONLY. If I get a large number of responses, I will create a second thread where I link to this one for discussion purposes.

2) 8 (and then after getting into IT a 9)
3) 10
4) Changed to Destroy for IT reasons and then to uphold the IT and then the possible interpretation that Shep reunited with his crew for the EC.

4) nope, other endings are even more stupid
#165

2) 2/10
3) 5/10 (if many of the changes didn't feel like banners proclaiming 'there were plot holes here' this would probably be higher - as in if I hadn't seen the first ending it might have been a 6)
4) Changed to control because I couldn't sacrifice EDI and the Geth for the suggestion that Shepard survived. If there had even been a still image of Shepard being reunited with the crew I'd have stuck with destroy.

1. I picked destroy the first time through
2. 2 of 10
3. 3.5 of 10
4. I think that most of my [paragon] Sheps would change to "refusal" // With refusal at least Shep doesn't give up and is damned for what he is as opposed to selecting one of the Reaper's options ...

3. 3/10 Emotionally good, more plot holes, thematically incoherent, change of plot in the last minutes.

Destroy. I didn't particularly like any of the options as originally presented. I decided it was best to play it safe and do what I set out to do from the get go - defeat the Reapers. I like EDI and the Geth, but they were prepared to sacrifice themselves, just like the organics participating in the fight.
2) On a scale of 1-10 rate the pre-EC ending
2. Nonsensical, filled with logic errors and amateurish mistakes (why would Joker look backwards? There's no window!) . I was unsatisfied. The only thing that elevated it from a 1 was the Anderson/Illusive Man section. It was terrific, but what followed was so terrible that it wasn't enough to save it.
3) On a Scale of 1-10 rate the post-EC ending
8/10. A vast improvement. The worst problems I had were corrected. The Reapers' purpose and origin are still a bit silly, but much less than before. Catalyst seems much more appropriate to the setting and story than he originally did. Lots of closure, and emotionally satisfying. The lack of a Harbingher confrontation - gameplay or cutscene - is my only lingering complaint.
4) Did you at some point change what was your personal Shepard's "canon" choice, and if so what did you change to and why.
Yes. I chose Synthesis this time around. I still think Destroy is the better choice in terms of ethics, but Synthesis is better for the galaxy. Shepard saved *everyone*, even the Reapers. Granted, this comes at the cost of forcing a new way of life on everyone, but it beats extinction. And unlike originally implied, this doesn't come at the cost of personal or even species individuality.

3. Same as 2, except larger negative numbers.
4. Same as 1.
