I still have gotten enough of Shepard and his squadmates and hope there's more to come. I would like to have a mass effect in the future that allows you to play as his squadmates also and someone get them more involved. In mass effect 2 I always wished I could play as the other characters in their loyalty missions that would have been great. At least in mass effect 3 I got to Experiance the other characters somewhat in multiplayer I got to finally be a krogan, drell, etc. but that's a whole other wish and topic. Point is I just really hope we get more of Shepard and his squad I'm sure there's so much more bioware can do with Shepard this can't be the end.

I'd prefer a nice Afghan cap, myself (Ageless-Faceless-Gender-Neutral-Culturally-Ambiguous-Adventure-Person. AFGNCAAP for short.). That way I can fill out the character with my own ideas, not being bound to the ideas the game creators have.

It's gonna be interesting to see what BioWare intends to do with Mass Effect franchise now that beloved main protagonist of their flagship IP is dead. Thought of playing a new ME game as someone else sounds kinda "meh" to me, tbh. But it's too early to tell, we'll see.

Yes but I know the won't continue it. I would buy the next game if it is but if it isn't then the franchise is finished for me after this failure of a game, just like dragon age is finished for me.

^What they said^

As much as I love Shepard...I love Shepard. I don't want him/her/it to be turned into a failure by dragging him/her/it on for too long. Crossovers with the ME3 cast, yes, that would be great. But I'm happy with Shepard being left where he/she/it is.

Nah, shep has done his part. Time for some new blood. And, hate to say, aside from cameos, the whole team needs to move on as well.

If it's well-done, sure why not. But I would prefer they move onto a new story/character since I feel like Shepard's done enough for this cycle. Any other games would have to up the ante to make that game's story arc feel urgent and it would trivialize all his work in the other 3 games.

Unless it is an HD (super HD? Remaster? Remake?) collection for the next generation consoles/PC, I don't want it...
Or if it is one of those time-travel crap, but I know that won't happen.

Would be a bit silly for him to come back after the way ME3 ended. Think we can let him have his happy ending (yes yes, I knooooow, imagine it already) and move on.

Not me, i'm ready for a new protagonist, new companions, nem everything.

Advance the game 2000, 5000, 10000 years in the future so we get a fresh new start on this thing. No strings attached (just some references like a monument, a memorial sutff like that...)

Yet there's still a strong possibilty of you still buying another ME and DA game just like how some people act with the various franchises in games, movies, shows, comics, and novels.

Agreed especially when Bioware announced that the Commander Shepard arc is done.

I wouldn't.
His arc and his mission are complete. What happens to him / her is your choice e considering he gets vaporized by Crucible beam, becomes the new Catalyst or he survives, either way Shepard's story is finished.

I believe it has been stated that Shepard's story was always planned as a trilogy, and I'm fine with that. We've got 3 good games revolving around Shepard and I feel that's good enough, we don't need more.
I wouldn't mind, however, seeing a salute to his achievements in other games about the ME universe, depending on the timeline.

I would also accept playing as another race just as much, if not more than, playing as Shepard.

As much as I like Shepard as a character (he may be my favorite video game protagonist), I think it is time to move on beyond his story. I think having Shepard save the galaxy from every threat that arises would also get tired very quickly. It is a big galaxy...the next game should have a new hero and new villains.
