Ok so with EVERY program I can conceivably think of, using the software that came with my mouse (wow steelseries cataclysm) to remap buttons on the mouse to F4, =, Home, etc. etc....pretty much ANY keyboard key, makes it recognizable in the program, even if the program wasn't originally supposed to handle mice with an extreme number of buttons. However for some reason, Dragon Age Origins only recognizes the first 3 extra buttons, even though they are mapped to similar buttons as the ones not recognized. Changing the buttons on the mouse to keys that are even your usual default controls in DAO doesn't help. Uninstalling/Reinstalling mouse software didn't work, running DAO as admin didn't work. Anyone got a clue? It really makes ZERO sense that the mouse button I hit is simply "F2", which is very obviously recognized as a key by DAO, yet does not register in-game. <_< Thanks to anyone willing to help out.

As it turns out, DAO will recognize the buttons, but only if they are certain keys, which is especially a problem since none of those are any of the 1 through = keys or any of the F1 - F12 keys...I can use all those keys in the game as long as I am actually pressing those keys, but not if they're what the mouse buttons are mapped to. I have piddled around until I have a good setup, using mainly numlock keys that are directional or the pages...home/end would be fine for my final 2 buttons...except they pan the camera up and down (even tho that's not what's set in the camera controls in-game). So let me change this post topic to this:
How do you remove the Home/End keys from their default camera pan controls? It's not somethign in-game, it would have to be something in an xml or ini or something. Thanks for anyone that might know.
