I'm considering a re-spec of my Batarian Soldier but I'm not sure which route to go on the inferno grenades.
If damage/capacity/radius, that's 9 grenades with grenade gear doing 228.13 damage per second, 1825.04 total damage per grenade, and a combined possible total damage of 16425.36 if you chuck all grenades for, y'know, funsies.
If damage/damage/radius, that's 7 grenades doing 278.13 damage per second, doing 2225.04 after 8 seconds, and 15575.28 if all 7 grenades get hucked.
Now, I guess the question is, would it be better to get slightly less overall damage for more damage upfront or is it better to have more grenades in reserve at the cost of slightly less damage?
I suppose the same question could be asked of frag grenades as well.
Inferno Grenade dilemma.

I always say have more grenades, in case you miss, or something gets in the way, things like that. Crap (and lag) happens, so you can't be 100% sure your grenade is always gonna hit its intended target.

I run a BatSoldier and go with damage/capacity/damage. The extra nades make it less of an issue to use one on a mob now and then when you need a group to go down quick. Simply toss two on bosses and watch them melt.

The game hardly ever gives you as many grenades as you could carry... especially if other people on the team use them to. F grenades.

Go damage. You're never gonna refill those 9 grenades with the current system.

Do not get capacity unless you use thermal packs to refill your nades. If not, you will not be able to gather enough

I went Damage Damage Shrapnel and that works out great, I usually roll with a Grenade cap and that gives him 7! Even with the warfighter he still gets 4, honestly with the new gear there is no reason to go capacity anymore.

This.
OP basically ask yourself... "am I going to use ammo packs alot throughout the match?" If the answer is yes... get 9 grenades, if not... go with 7.
The problem I've found with having tons and tons of grenades, is you spend alot of time running around to ammo boxes for grenades and not as much time helping your friends kill bad guys.

But capacity does allow you to dump 54 grenades in rapid succession if you save up and use 5 Thermal Clips packs in succession.

this is something I have done a few times with hack circle missions on gold, i just kept throwing grenades into mob spawn, it was win. Not sure if its always the 5 thermal clips i use, i tend to use 1 or 2 when i need them but I know I use atleast three of them in a row. It is amazing.

I'd go damage on silver and gold.

Mind you, it takes about 1 or 2 minutes to throw 54 grenades in a row.soldo9149 wrote...

I take damage personally, 7 is enough.

Damage all the way, unless you want to burn thermal clips, its hard to refill, espescially in the middle of battle.

Since you already have Grenade Gear V, you can have 7 grenades. In general this will probably be enough. The extra damage means you usually only need to toss one on a group.
