was playing through ME 3 again and I got to zaeed... and he hates cerberus. Is it ever explained WHY he hates cerberus? He never mentioned to me anything happening between him and cerberus... and in ME2 they just gave him a buttload of money to go on the suicide mission.
Is there any reason Zaeed hates Cerberus?

I love Zaeed! Its just he makes a big deal about hating cerberus in ME3... but he doesent say why and Derpy Shep doesent ask.

I think Cerberus didn't paid him for the Suicide Mission, because they weren't expecting him to come out of that alive.
In the books, it's clear that Cerberus has not the unlimited budget that TIM want to let the Galaxy believe... maybe they promised Zaeed a very huge amount of credits they don't even have after Lazarus Project and the whole Sanctuary plan.

He sort of mentions it in Mass Effect 2, though he doesn't go into detail. He has a throwaway line with Shepard where he'll say something like, "Your Illusive Man must be very forgiving considering the number of Cerberus operatives I've killed. I lost track around 50."

Leaked early version of the script. Zaeed was supposed to still be working for Cerberus as the bodyguard of some Cerberus bigshot on Omega. Shepard could potentially convince him to leave them, or have to kill him.
