Spell Might and Sustained Abilities bug?

If you activate Spell Might (the description states that its effect is only valid as long as the spell is activated) then activate a sustained abilited like Arcane Shield and Rock Armor, then deactivate Spell Might you retain the increased armor and defense bonuses without the stamina costs of keeping Spell Might active.

Shouldn't the bonuses given by such sustained abilities revert to their non-enhanced levels if Spell Might is dropped?

they SHOULD, but my guess is that the mechanics of this are a bit messed up.

the thing i've noticed is that sustained buffs are applied at the time of activation, and stay that way until they are deactivated.

this is most noticable when you use a bard's song. if a party member dies and is revived at the end of the battle, he will not have that song affecting him, while everybody else in the party will. you have to reactivate it to get the new sustained buff.

It's a game limitation, from what I've heard. And honestly, not a gamebreaking one that I'd rather have the developers do something about the more pressing matters in the game.



It's kind of like equipping +STR items in order to meet the prereq of a certain equip, then remove the +STR items but you still have the item you've recently equipped on you despite not having the proper STR to use it.



It's an exploit for sure, but such a minor one that its hardly felt and hardly affects the game at all.
