It really isn't meta-gaming.

In fact, not using the crucible is the most well foreshadowed of the endings. You know ahead of time that the Crucible is the only way to stop the Reapers. The united fleets already sacrificed too many of its ships just to deliver it. Not using the Crucible will result in the Reapers winning.

This is NOT debatable.

So no it's not the only choice. Even if you weren't meta-gaming and the Catalyst was out to trick you, you would have lost no matter which ending you chose. Honestly, and I really do mean this, if I was in Shepard's shoes I would have taken my chances with the Crucible.

I did not use any logical fallacies.

Good work, sweetheart.

Now I'm starting to wonder if you even know what a logical fallacy actually is. Seems to me you just learned a new pretty word but you don't know what you're talking about.

Anyway, this is pointless and off-topic. So whatever. Have fun crying over the supposed FU from BioWare like an entitled little brat.

Make that three.

And now you're running away like the petulant child you are. <--See, ad hominem is fun.

You know everyone is going to die when you go to the Omega 4 Relay. They keep telling you over and over. Every loyalty mission reminds you of how they're going to die and have to wrap up their affairs. Legion or EDI even say they have a 1% chance of success. OH WAIT, THEY CAN ALL LIVE.

Question for you about the rachni: who were those who soured their song?
Answer: Sovereign and his minions.

No not mad. Just using brain.

No. They said you're pursuing those who "soured their song" in ME2. In that game, you're pursuing the Collectors. So it was Harbinger and HIS minions. Since ME2 acts like Sovereign didn't exist, and Sovereign acted like the Collectors didn't exist, I'd say it's actually a difference. The collectors seem to have a vested interest in galactic society, since they actively interact with us, while Sovereign spent the whole time hiding.

During the war "we only heard discordance... songs the colors of oily shadows." <<< draws conclusion Sovereign possibly had hand in war, and so I released the queen.

From the earlier part of the conversation with her that was definitely not normal. Sovereign has been sowing discordance via indoctrination with Saren, Lady Benezia and her followers, and the Geth fight for it, but they have not been seen beyond the Veil until Sovereign.

In ME2 the queen via the asari confirmed this. I never looked at the rachni speech in ME2 as that the Collectors were the ones. It was always the Reapers in my mind. Sorry.

Seriously! WTF! I actually was perfectly okay with this ending. Shep losing? Made sense. Next cycle using Crucible despite being told it doesn't work. Wut? WUT? It's pretty much there as a FU there's no reason for them to bother clarifying that. What's so hard with "It's open to interpretation." because it was until they opened that hole in their face.

And yes very infuriating. My favorite ending went to my third favorite because Shep ultimately ends up sacrificing himself and the cycle for the chance for the next cycle to win without relying on the Reapers and sacrificing their freedom and for what? For them to eat the spoonfed three crap choices starbrat gave the previous cycle. Only difference is they swallow it. Bleh. BLEH.

I refuse to acknowledge the tweet's existence and have returned to my brilliant headcanon.

I don't care how irrational it is.

LOL!  Nope. That's not an ad hominem my friend. It would have been if it was actually part of an argument. It isn't however.

Anyway, I have better things to do. Cheers! Good luck and have fun! :wizard:

Yes, but the worst case scenario was that they'll die accomplishing their mission.

They used the Omega 4 Relay because it had to be done.

It's clear that the Rachni were indoctrinated. But Sovereign being behind it is another matter. Aliens were being indoctrinated left and right without his influence.

To me it makes no sense that Sovereign would gain control of the most warlike spacefaring race in the galaxy, at a time when the Citadel only had Asari and Salarians, and not use them to invade so he could find out what the problem was with the Keeper Signal.

It's more likely that the Rachni found a Reaper artifact and got indoctrinated by accident.

Heh. What a shame when I am required to embrace irrationality to make sense of the ending.

Sorry to hear that. The endings seemed to make sense for me now. Maybe I'm just missing something.

That's false, actually. Depending on your EMS, you can actually influence the success of Hammer, Sword, and Shield.

According to my war assets, I have one platoon of soldiers that is worth more than the total contribution of the asari, salarians and turians -- the three most powerful races in the galaxy -- combined. And, what races they individually are matters not one bit to their contributions. And, looking at the GaW leaderboards, there are players out there for whom their little ragtag group of soldiers is worth more than the total contribution of everything else combined, even including mutually exclusive war assets somehow.

I'm going to have to call "gameplay and story segregation" to a certain extent on that one.

Your point being? You can still influence the success of Hammer, Sword, and Shield in Priority: Earth based on your EMS.

Sadly. I just...:crying: honestly though if I'm to be fair all of Priority Earth is just bleeh save the character goodbyes. The Catalyst just highlights it.

This is true. So true.

I had tears welling in my eyes during Garrus' speech. And then it was all ruined by that inane turret scene and battle sequences following the breifing.

Not to mention those options given... ugh.

Why is refusal the yellow ending?

Is it because that's what processed organics look like? You know like in the Collector base.

Because I took a cue from the video of it on Youtube.

I'd have it pink, for all the damns I don't give.

Red is the colour of Wrath, Green is the colour of Will, Blue is the colour of Hope and Yellow is the colour of Fear.

Yeah that random turret sequence was f***ing stupid. So random. But honestly I always daww at Javik's and Kaidan's goodbyes (one of the few things I enjoyed in the EC the extra goodbyes (even if they're completely ridculous with Harbinger STARING DOWN the Normandy) were sweet and good (even if alot of it was copy paste dialogue).

And yeah. I wish I could give the starbrat a reasons you suck speech while marching towards the tube. (and not having to kill the Geth just to kill the Reapers. I wouldn't mind them resorting them to becoming the way they were before the Reaper upgrades but nope. ALL SYNTHETICS MUST DIE! Bleh). But nope. Bleeeeh.

The sheer amount of butthurt in this thread is quite amusing.
