As it's getting closer to release date, I just wanted to use this thread to see who else is looking forward to this game as I am. I've been playing Total War since Medieval 1, but I think Rome 1 was my favourite.

Just have to hope my PC and run the game properly. Played Medival 2 and Rome 1 the most, Shogun 2 wasn't too bad either.

Rome TW and Medieval II were incredibly addictive...especially some of the mods for them. Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to play Rome 2 so I will watch YouTube videos with jealous awe.

Rome 2 is actually the only game this year I've really been looking forward to for awhile. I just can't decide which factions I'm going to play first, they all look so interesting and unique. It's a no brainer though that my first new campaign will be with Rome. Then probably Macedon, on a harder difficulty.

This is the GOTY right here, at least for me. Wish I could buy the collector's edition. Unfortunately I have no money to waste right now, much less £110.

I'll be waiting for the Europa Barbarorum Team to mod the "Mummy" Egyptians and the indistinguishable northern European peoples out and give some semblance of accuracy and playability to "everything that isn't Rome".

Pretty much my stance as well, except I am patiently awaiting their Medieval:TW2-iteration. Which is quite far along already and impressive enough.

Other than that, guess I should give the original EB on R:TW a shot one of these days...
