What they showed was pretty much handing you the answer. Not sure if then handing you the answer visually would have done anything to add to it.

You know, this makes me think of the one thing that's bugged me since ME1.

We never see anybody poop in Mass Effect. The Normandy SR-1 didn't even have toilets, and while there are toilets on the SR-2 nobody ever uses them. The closest we ever get is Shepard flushing his/her toilet just cause. We see a turian taking a leak in ME2, and Kai Leng pees in a vase in Deception, but we never see anybody poop.

Since we never see Shepard pooping, I'm forced to conclude Shepard never, ever poops. This is a major plothole, and I hope it's answered in future Pooping DLC.

While I appreciate the hard work on making this picture, I'm glad it ended the way it did. I don't need everything handed to me. My brain can do some of the lifting. And honestly, the way Destroyed ended it's not that heavy a lift.

I think it would.

Given every other ending in the game ends with Shepard definitely dead, it's only fair to provide at least one ending where Shepard is definitely alive.  Not hinting, hopeful implied alive.  Defintiely alive.

This. Come on people. You don't need to be spoonfed everything.

"BUT BUT BUT WE DIDNT SEE A FACE"

Oh yeah. Lets just cut to some random guy in N7 armor and make a big deal about them taking a breath with an extra scene that you need high EMS to achieve. Oh and lets make it a random female when they choose Femshep. Really people?

It was the same problem people had with the original endings?

If it's Shepard and he's alive then did the Catalyst lie to Shepard?  If it's Shepard and he's alive... how is he alive when he got blown up?

Now  with the new endings... if it's Shepard and he's alive has he been lying in rubble bleeding out for 2 weeks or however long the Normandy crew was chilling on Garden P;anet?

If you have to confirm it, it's not obvious.

And one breath is not enough closure.

People who didn’t understand the implications of the memorial scene, the Normandy taking off and the breath scenes are a bit...touched I think.

It is NOT about understanding it. I think by now we all very well understood that Shepard is supposed to take a breathe in some rubble somewhere at sometime while his crew is obviously sipping coffee and checking the KIA-lists and planning a nice vacation-trip to some planet (But of course your LI has to spoil everything and make the whole crew flying back to search some rubble...even though they have cocktails on this planet! with little umbrellas!)

It is about a certain kind of respect for the character of Shepard, and what we or at least a large potion of the fans saw in him/her. If you show slides and narration of all the different races and how they are affected by the endings, and how Shepard becomes blue space dictator in control...it is just fair to actually have Shepard STAND up from the rubble and give his/her LI one last grin and hug, giving the fans that what they fought for this  through three games. A a little bit of a reward...a heaving chest is not the same...

And for me it is a slap into the face of what Shepard went through and tried to achieve. It is disrespectful to Shepard.

Nyee... a Renegade Shepard can claim the Catalyst tricked them to do it.
I mean, the amount of bad stuff a Renegade Shepard has done and just about no one has ever complained about it.... It's kind of obvious that they don't care.

Woo, $80 just to use imagination.

Seriously, there's a thing called "Show, don't tell." I'm kind of getting really discouraged with how the devs have to clarify via interviews, twitter, forums without actually, you know, what, DOING THIS IN THE GAME ITSELF.

What was the point of the game if they have to clarify outside of it? >.<

Because people can't think for themselves and demand that every little thing be shown.

There is such a thing as giving away too much information.

No but a scene of Shepard being found, recuperating in a hospital or otherwise getting out of that rubble would be great ;)

Eh, it kinda reminds me of that movie the Truman Show with Jim Carrey where he's an unwitting participant in a gigantic reality tv show where he discovers the deception, breaks out and the audience gets a glimpse of his onetime girlfriend all gleeful getting up and hurrying out the door to presumably meet him. But the reunion is never actually shown onscreen, it's only inferred by the audience that she tracked him down.

It a slap in the face!  However, I am preparing  a 160 minute video which I will post on YouTube which provides clues and evidence that the galaxy is poop-free.  There is simply far too much supporting the theory.  I am comparing .wav files of flushing sounds, and also the textures of the toilets, (which appear to be concrete by the way and anything that looks like concrete can only exist on Earth).   And also exploring the unlimited toilet paper theory.

I am 100% convinced that the NP theory is true, and that Bioware is devoting more valuable resources to future paid NP DLC.  It will actually be in the extended extended revised director's cut.

While I don't see it as a slap in the face, I have to agree with most of what you say. It's probably the very last time we will ever see Shepard. It would've been nice to see him/ her with the crew. So many people have followed this story for the past few years. One last slide of them smiling together after the battle of a trillion lifetimes would be only right. That's something that stays with you. I get that Shepard is probably alive, but it doesn't have the same impact. Even hearing Shepard do the narration of the epilogue would have been pretty powerful.

I don't hate Bioware for it. I loved the EC and the ME story, warts and all. I respect that what they do is an artistic endeavour. It's their right as artists to tell their story the way they see fit. But that was the one thing I wish they could have compromised on. It would have been the right finish for a great character.

I guess using that pfft you need clarification? logic Shep's voice over during Control is stupid and pointless and just for people who need absolute clarification. Clearly the original endings were just fine.
