I have Yusaris in my inventory but I can't remember where I found it. Could someone please refresh my memory?
Thanks.

Obtained:

• Circle Tower (Apprentice Quarters) - Found on Shah Wyrd's corpse during the Watchguard of the Reaching quest

You had to loot it from Shah Wyrd in The Circle Tower in the Watchguard of the Reaching side-quest.

EDIT: Too slow ... again

Thanks. I was afraid that's where I found it. I ran a dual wield rogue through Broken Circle and I also alternate with a 2h character that would really benefit from Yusaris. However, as much as I really like this game, I found The Fade to be a no fun grind. I am definitely not looking forward to doing The Fade again.

A lot of people feel that way ... a lot of us don't.

I think it's some fairly easy XP and nowhere else are you going to get more stat points so easily.

You companions nightmares are the icing on the cake.

Yes the stat points are great, but for me it consisted of read the Prima guide to see which mouse hole to pick, etc. My hat is off to anyone who got through The Fade without a guide.

The Watchguard of the Reaching quest does not require entering the Fade to complete. (Now the main quest on the other hand does.)

I didn't my first time, but now I breeze through it every time. I have a bit of a sticking point with the Mage's Asunder portion because of the fact that there are 5 different mages clustered in one room, all of which want to fry your face, but other than that, I've got the place memorized. I can even take down Sloth relatively easily.

I wish Morrigan could learn that Spirit form back in the real world. Maybe then shapeshifting would actually be useful....

I made it through with no guide with no major difficulties.  Just a lil' bit of backtracking.  Also, if that is the room I'm thinking of, I'm pretty sure the mages will attack each other if you leave them alone.

High Str 2H warrior+Blood Dragon Armor+Stone Golem Form= MASSIVE BEATDOWN!!!  Seriously awesome.

I'm not trying to brag by saying this, but it's pretty easy without a guide. Just go through every mouse hole, go through every spirit door, and smash every massive door. That way you'll find all the stat boosts and all the demons.

Those ones will, but they're not the ones I'm talking about. Beyond that room is the large open room with the three servants (two of which are stealthed). Past that is the room with the fire barriers where you fight the 4 Rage Demons. The room after that one is the one I'm talking about.

Ahh.  I don't even remember that bit.  I blame OP Stoneform+2h warrior.

I think I know which one you're talking about, as I was just in there last night on my warrior. It's also annoying that you can't attack them from range - you have to wait for them to aggro first (fireball did nothing to them). While they don't attack one another, they will kill each other. I just went to burning man form, and lured them into the prior room. They all ran through the door, and a few of them cast inferno in the area they were standing. They all died, and I was immune. I don't think I even hurt them. lol

Yeah, that room took me a couple tries. I ultimately had to agro the mages by tossing in a flashbang as Burning Man, then withdraw past the flames and go to Spirit Form to throttle the life out of them.

I did on first few playthroughs, the most recent trip I took through it I took after reading the guide which I had only recently got. I had took a slightly similar path before although I've tended to always pop into the Templar knightmare in the middle at some point, now I know to leave that as the last spot to go in.

Sure does make that trip even quicker following the route they planned, although I go for Mage Asunder boss before taking out Darkspawn invasion boss, as makes it easier to get to the party members that way.

Actually this topic reminded me I need to go back to the tower to do the sidequests as I've not done them yet. Though going to pop over to Dust Town first to get the Lyrium from Rogek.

was a dreadfully simple place.  Guides, pah .  The game was unfortunately quite lacking in the puzzles department.

It's not an accomplishment, it's just about being meticulous in searching everywhere...after you've gotten all forms.

Never even occurred to me to use a guide. The Fade allows a consistent rate of progress so you never feel like you're stuck.

The Fade and the Deep Roads are my favourite parts of the game.

Only some of us are not blessed with sense of direction.
My progress in such places consist of running in circles.

The map shows all of the mouse holes, spirit doors and massive doors though. Even without a sense of direction, it should be easy to see where you have/haven't been just by looking at the map.

So you're saying you're the sort of person where a GPS wouldn't make any difference?

GPS's are overrated. Gimme a paper map, I'll find my way to where ever. :P

As for the fade and Yusaris, Yusaris can be retrieved before entering the fade, due to the sequence needed all being on the floor under the one where you enter the Fade. Sadly, you can't leave the tower until you clean the tower, which is the only downside.

Also, the Fade is enjoyable to get over with, as it is the most nerve-wracking point for me. "Oh no, I forgot to turn into the Fire Form! Blarg from the Inferno spells that pillage my face!"...
