The M-76 Revenant is an AR SAW you can get in ME2 & ME3.  You can use in in MP which I see used quite often lately.

The AR is a lot like an AK-47 AR.  The first shot to first few shots of the initial burst are accurate before the user starts spraying bullets all over the general direction they're aiming towards.

This malfunction can be avoided by milking the weapon and tapping the trigger button instead of holding it in a seizure.

Tap, 1 2, Tap, 1 ,2.  It's as easy as that, Give it some rythm and the weapon is outrageously more lethal and accurate from any range.

Don't lock up like a ****, Charles!  Cheers!

Alternately, fire from cover. Recoil and spread are both reduced quite a bit.

I am not sure I completely agree. In ME2, sure. In ME3 the accuracy is such that you aren't really getting much benefit from burst fire... accuracy loss seems near instant and not related to trigger control. Muzzle climb is a little different, but you can fight that by aiming down instead of firing in bursts.

It is better if you are in cover though.

It was a joke, bad one I guess.

The Revenant is more accurate with burst firing.

As an Army Vet, who has used an AK-47, a M60, and an M249 SAW. I find the Revenant to be roughly correct in its uses, while its possible to use any of these weapons for Full Auto, it is much more accurate to use one with bursts of 7 to 10 rounds.

Right on.

It tighens up when you use cover also.  Firing in burst just keeps it from spraying all over during movement.

So when you run and gun try firing in burst.  It doesn't matter at close range depending on the mob, they'll catch most of the bullets.

This was my experience of it. ME3 Revenant seemed to just have flatly poor accuracy and hence you didn't gain much from not firing on full-auto. Didn't test it enough to see what would happen with Stability mods tho.

Stability Dampler will reduce the muzzle climb when you are out of cover.  AR Scope does increase out of cover / moving accuracy.  I think both effects are noticeable, while some say they can't notice the difference in accuracy with the scope.  I tested it at the firing range and the scope did get a lot more shots on the sihouette.
