Is there a purpose for that locked door I beat the mage tower and summoned the monster on the 1st floor.

Only in the Mage Origin

2nd Floor door has a purpose in the mage origin but not when you go there during the "recruit them" part of the game.

Being its the Mage Orgin, yes.

Yeah as LynxAQ stated it is used as part of the Origin story, no need really for non mages to go in there.

It's the same thing with the door near where Wynne is guarding the children. The door itself is used to release Shah Wyrd, but in the Mage Origin, it's an actual door that you go through to get into the Basement. Useless during the Main Quest, but the Mage Origin takes you through there.

Well it would be kind of hard for a non-Mage to go through that door as need a special key from the mage that during the origins story is stood outside it and as I recall she isn't there nor is any corpse of hers so there is no way into it.
