Real quick I would like to add that a list of times people in the draft are available would be a huge help. I'd hate to pick someone that I wouldn't be able to work out a schedule with. I know this is a reason for the UK players being together, but everyone has different availability and it would make things much easier to sort out beforehand.

GMT, usually on between 5pm and 11pm (not in one session obviously)

Just a warning, with college coming up in a week I won't be available for all night sessions unless It's a weekend, just something to keep in mind.

AreleX did you answer my question in the tourney thread about what happens if I am too busy to participate one day but available the next? (about reserves and their relationship to a team if a draftee can't play on X day)

you will have roughly a week for each round, so you have plenty of time to get practice and recorded/photo'd games in. the reserves are if a. someone absolutely HAS to drop out, b. someone no-shows, etc.

the demolisher balcony vid is finished rendering, now it simply needs to be uploaded. i promised flesh and slim i'd play with them, so it will get up sometime during the day. i may take a nap and upload, so the best way to see when it goes up is to subscribe to my channel or f5 it every few hours or so.

draft is friday, round one will star monday, teams will have until next monday morning (going by EST, which is GMT -5) to post their match.

A huge thank you to everyone I played with during my three day gaming marathon.  Relix, tidal, deflesh, slim, geek, goosh, navi, heroic, tigz, finch, live and anyone that I've forgotten to mention.  An extra special thank you to AreleX, you were the main reason that my weekend was so good.  I got some quality time on some other games too, edited and posted a ton of vids and had some fantastic games on me3.

A speedrun on Firebase Dagger? Why would you do such a thing? Well let me ask you this, why do you climb a mountain? Because its there.....

If you watch then please no comments about my aim (or lack of it), it was 1am and I'd had practically no sleep for two days   The game before this we were getting faster clears and had better objectives but my xbox froze to ruin what would probably have been a much better time.

I'm going to post some threads in the group with maps and details of strategy for the different maps, similar to the thread and map that TankBee and Geekfest did for Glacier.  I think it would be pretty sweet to have something down so we can speedrun any map, especially as we have a strategy for most of them now.  It'll probably take a day or two to get this underway so I'll keep you all informed of my progress.

In other news we have a rather sucessful Hydra speedrun strat, consistent 11-12 minute extraction on Gold, could probably be squeezed lower with better objectives and successful rocketting... Our Dagger attempts aren't going aswell but we will probably get a good strategy.

The celebs to me are bechter, arelex, BTE, gollum, snyper

thos are the bets players i've seen/played with/ heard about

and landy but i've been playing with him forever so i don't get startstruck anymore lol

Our third attempt at a full on white speedrun. Still lots of room to improve but with the tourney I think we are going to hold off on this for a while. I'm sure the video will be up at some point but Arelex's new strategy is working great.

Honestly I think the easiest speedrun is Hydra, I had 5 medi-gels most of the time which meant I could be careless in their use and play much more aggressively. It's very organised and sane as opposed to Glacier wich can get slightly archaic due to so many spawns opening up once Hallway and Basement clearers head into the basement. I'd love to try Hydra on Platinum, I think it might be even quicker thanks to double and triple boss spawns.

Dagger is nice but it gets a little annoying, so many places to look for that last Nemesis it just hurts your time, not to mention the spot I was in you are bouncing between two spawns, if one isn't cleared quick enough you can easily be overwhelmed (Tatty was having that problem before we tweaked the strat)

It's going to be fun trying to speedrun all maps, I hope I'm there for more than a few of them, this tournament will definately help given how for a week we will be focussed on speedrunning one map with handicaps.
