don't forget to check out the balcony demolisher vid, and all tourney entrants: i'm appearing online now, so send me a message if you want to play with the captains!

Arelex, what build were you running in this balcony video that you're only carrying 7 grenades? And is that typical missile usage by a balcony player? I haven't ran the balcony yet, and still need a lot of more practice before I'd attempt it, but I'm curious.
If you check out the opening thread of the post AreleX has his build detailed there. He has two grenades from each of the grenade trees and another one from the N7 Demolisher passive giving 5 base, he's then running warfighter package to get an extra 2 for a total of 7. As you're sitting in the supply pylon for a lot of the run you won't run short of grenades so you don't need the grenade gear, the extra weapon damage from warfighter is far more useful. With regard to the missile usage, assuming you mean the rockets on wave 2, then the answer is yes. Usually on wave 2 both Atlas will spawn in the hallway, if they do then run the wave as in the video. If the spawn is spilt then just take them down with weapons like wave 1. Roll like AreleX in the vid and you'll be golden
He may also be talking about later waves where AreleX forced the Nook spawn which is not all that common. It was something I came up with to try and save missiles for players running hallway and basement if they are running low, but we had a couple of strange spawns as well that caused AreleX to use more than he wanted to.
We would like to go into wave 10 with at least 1 missile between every player (would help a lot for targets or if we need to hold a hack). Not sure if it really helps out our times too much to force the Nook spawn, but if we get a targets objective early it will help spare a missile or 2 for the basement/hallway players.
Yes, I meant both the usage of missiles on wave 2 and having only 1 missile going into wave 9. Obviously, objectives can make the missile usage much different, but I wondered if this was standard, or an aberration since AreleX mentioned this was a video when everything doesn't go your way. Thanks for the explanations.
EDIT: I'd love to run like AreleX and be golden.

Yeah good games, its too bad the last couple games ended a bit messily but it was just a fun, not-so-serious session anyway
To be honest I always treat sessions as serious, no matter if they are intended to be so (you may of noticed by raging xD)

I think I am probably done for the day, but will be doing plenty more runs tomorrow. If you are a draft member and I have not played with you please PM me when you are available and I will try to be on to get some games in.
Also, to those who are interested in the tournament that did not make the first batch of sign ups I would like to urge you to sign up as a reserve and get games in with captains as well. I have also only received PM's from a few members about their availability for the tournament. If you have not done so yet, please PM me your times ASAP.

I wouldn't count that as raging, I've been pissed off plenty of times when a banshee sucks me into her gravitational pull from a mile away to destroy my face, but at the same time I'm still having fun.LuckyBullet95 wrote...

I think a couple broken controllers would be the sign of true rage

Good games Snyper, WyldStar, and NightShadeNinja. Very impressive times for someone new to the runs, especially since I don't think most of us were even using our best gear.

Yea, those were definitely some good games.. especially playing on Snyper's crappy connection.
I may re-consider signing up for reserves for the tournament, but I'd probably need some advance notice about setting up game times from whoever I ended up playing with due to my wierd schedule for the next couple weeks. I can usually push stuff to clear up whatever time, but It'd really have to be planned at least 24hrs in advance.

With sadness, yes, it does indeed "suck", with slight hope, I can talk between matches if I hold the mic together however, with amusement, talk about silverlining, and a occasionl electric shock.

With child like enthusiasm, I got a new mic, I got a new mic, with underlinging embarrassment, in under twelve hours I decided enough was enough and got a new mic.
