In a way I don't mind not having a fix enemy because we will see more diversity in the builds. Haven't decided yet if I want Reapers or Cerberus.

I think everyone was planning on picking reapers pretty much. However, with a week to do the challenge why not leave the enemy open and everyone can find which one they like best and can post their best times against? Some people may have better luck against Cerberus than Reapers or not want to risk an instakill and go Geth. If we must pick an enemy I vote Reapers on that one.

Next, it was no doubling of weapons either. Getting some variety is what we were aiming for with this mostly. Too many of the challenges wanted themed runs that limited to a very few characters and/or weapons which I know I greatly disliked. I think everyone pretty much lost interest in the tournament due to all the delays which is why things turned out the way they did, the tournament should have taken place a couple weeks ago at least. 

We had an entire week where Snyper, Geekfest, and myself were fairly active in our posting and search for tournament members this past week and I didn't see much activity from the others (not really on Slayin since he was named last minute). I will say this, had it been delayed again I would have given up my captain spot more than likely since I doubt it would have ever gotten underway. I understand everyone has stuff come up, but at least the captains of each group need to be as active as possible and if something comes up to where you can't be there or do something make sure you let the others know.

Just my thoughts on the whole thing here, I in no way am speaking on behalf of everyone here. With the looming release of BL2 not too far around the corner though we are already down to 15 days before many people will be putting this game down at least for a while, so stuff had to happen.

Also, if there needs to be a change we need to come up with some stuff ASAP. I already got my team practicing the one that was picked and don't want to get too focused on it if we are going to change it. I am game for whatever here, I just don't want any one person to get blame for how it all turned out here since there were so many things happening and the tournament had to get started.

@Bechter: I don't really like that, but it is whatever at this point. I think we will see a lot of Talon, Claymore, or Reegar now which is just as limiting. If we are going that route just leave all the weapons open and I will just deal with it. I was looking forward to trying to have fun with the game before it is "dead" to me, but this seems to be going more competitive than fun.

To be honest I've played with and highly respect every single captain. I place my faith in them not to use Piranha GI and if so then they simply lose out on the fun of the tournament. I for one would surely lose respect for them aswell. The only prize for the tourney is a name change and officer rank, I doubt Bech wanted to create this tourney as a time attack, challenge where we try to out-powerful build each other.

What I mean is, if I was to see AreleX running Piranha GI on a challenge with the rest of his team doing the same I just know I would be less inclined to play with them in the future because they aren't in it for the fun (dwindling as it may be) of Mass Effect. If the captain had any respect for this group he'd keep it clean and fun. If his team had any respect for him they would follow his example.

DISCLAIMER The thing about AreleX's team is simply an example. I mean nothing against them and know they are all great players who are in ME for teh fun rather than the competition. Let me reiterate. THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE.

@Geekfest: Whatever is fine now. If we want to make this a really competitive deal then I am game. I wasn't even worried if my team was knocked out of the first round (though I have faith in them), I was having fun with how it was before. If everyone else is okay with going with any weapons and duplicates I am in.

Edit: The whole reason for the stipulations were to get players to use weapons/characters that don't get seen as often. As it stands I already feel this Adept/Vanguard combo is limiting  with the adepts used down to 3 or 4 since players obviously want to be as effective as possible. We are in a type of competition here and obviously nobody is going to want to go out in round one because they limited themselves when others didn't in order to have fun.

New stipulations for the tournament challenge:

All weapons are open for use, no duplicate weapons allowed. Meaning no 2 players can use the same weapon(s) just to be clear.

Also, enemy is Reapers.
