ggs to Goosh, USMC and Milk Ninja. I got hungry so I decided to take my leave as well. :D And you weren't overselling yourself Milk Ninja, you are a damn good player (as are all of you but I'll pointedly not mention Goosh :P)

ETA: did any of you catch our time for that last one? We were doing so well for the first 6 waves...then things took a turn for the worse. lol

Good games to Zephyr and defleshing. Great games to usmc, tripenitence and milkninja . 16/17 min full extractions on Platinum? not bad given how terrible our rocketting and communication was lol (and trip took a tip out the Goosh Handbook.. or all of them..)

I had a very good time playing with you guys. Was also nice and relaxing for platinum matches and we still had a pretty good average for times.

Something like 17 minutes I think, it came down to failed rockets for Wave 8 and 9. Could've easily scored a really quick time below 15 minutes if we didn't fail so hard (I believe I wasted two rockets on Wave 8 alone... granted one did phase through the map but still... a fail is a fail) lol. I blame you and your lack of a mic :P

@bio, I'm sorry to hear that, we still never had that Platinum run...  hopefully you get out of hosptial soon.

Good games?

Where were you during the flank-spawning on Rio?

And yes, get well Bio.

Hey any time I can be bothered to even play Rio and better yet, get full credits on Platinum; it's a good game. I also have to admit that you're raging was a little humorous :P

I was just thinking while making this crimini and shallot pasta (yes, I switch from Platinum speed runs to gourmet cuisine effortlessly lol) that while my mic is still not working we should have a set system. Like on Gold I'll do the basement spawn on waves 5, 8 and 9, then have two left for objectives or emergencies. Then we won't ever double rocket. Plat I'm not totally familiar with the spawns. Is wave 5 the one with no bosses but Phantom spam? Or is that 7? I can't recall.

Rocketing the exact same, Wave 1 and 2 are basically Wave 8 and 9 of Gold. Wave 3 you get Ravagers and Brutes (at least against Cerberus). Wave 4 I think you get Banshee, though I don't think you get quad boss spawn hence on rocket.. Wave 5 you get pretty much everything (rocket). Wave 7 is just Hunters and Phantoms  (at least against Cerberus). Wave 8 and 9 are all out everything though I tihnk which bosses spawn might be randoms, not checked. I was thinking maybe you always get 2 of the "big boss" from the faction you pick (i.e. 2 ATLAS ) and then a random two or three from the other two factions (i.e. 1 prime and 1/2 Banshees). Though I actually need to take notice...

I still think Wave 11 would be easier just kiting enemy from basement to balcony to basement and back again...you know just staying alive to avoid killing. You kill one Bansheein the basement and it spawns in the Nook, then you have nowhere to run when it gets hairy; something it does VERY EASILY.

So yeah basically rocket 5, 8 and 9 and maybe 3/6/10 dpending on objective. Honestly I think the whole Dark Room/Hack spot glitch might be for the best on Wave 6. took about 70 second to clear that wave WITH a hack zone. Ofcourse that is rediculously unlikely to always happen. Maybe if you could find a way to spawn trap them into the darkroom (that way they are always there for easy pizza delivery/escort/first Assassination and can still simply be rocketted if they get in the way of said objectives Just a thought. .

Wow Goosh that is like an essay, I enjoyed reading it while eating my pasta (wish I could offer you all some ). Yes we'll have to keep close watch on the spawn patterns next time. I'm surprised you're still awake and not dreaming of jiggly Destroyer bumbums though :P

Watching Spartacus: Vengeance with mah Irn Bru, crisps, chocolate and sweet (yes I can eat such junk at what is now 5am).

Seriously man this show has really put the spotlight on some amazing actors. Liam McIntyre, Manu Bennett and Dustin Clare are brilliant. Such a shame Andy Whitfield was taken from us so young though, he did Spartacus justice that no one else ever will. RIP.

@usmc the first rule of Team AreleX... you don't talk about Team AreleX... or at least not the wave 1 wipes xD

On wave 7 against Cerberus you also get Nemesis (Nemesis's, Nemesi?).  In the more organised runs I've done we've taken a QMI or two and nuked the whole of wave 7 with arc grenades really quickly.  I've not worried too much about working out what spawns each wave yet as I was just planning to record some games and have a look at my leisure.

Also generally in most of the glacier/platinum games I've taken part in there hasn't been a lot of concern or thought about spawn forcing/controlling and rocketing other than all standing behind the yellow line and then rushing off wherever.  But I haven't really had too much time to play since the DLC was released to see how you're all developing your platinum speedrun stragegy, I'm sure you've all probably got a much better idea of whats going on than me.

In addition I'm not sure that I even believe a wave 1 wipe is possible, sounds like crazy talk to me.

@Tatty yeah but Nemesis don't even deserve to spawn in bronze... rocketting is all but the exact same as Gold as is strategy. And timing is only about 2-3 minutes longer with a good team... so much for platinum difficulty...

Agreed, but its useful to know that the reason the wave isn't finished is probably due to a Nemesis camping out somewhere...precious seconds...

Very disappointed to be honest.

I yet hold hope tatty. At least take solace in the fact that there have been no spawn pattern changes... perhaps BioWare are saving it for a higher difficulty...

Still I expect Platinum to get a buff this week along with the Missile Launcher and the Omni-Shield, Snap Freeze might also see some minor buffs but honestly the only issue with the N7 Paladin is a complete lack of anything during Omni-Shield use. Maybe have him move extremely slowly and allow use of a Pistol or SMG much like the Paladin but give the gun accuracy/recoil/refire rate penalties (makes sense that the Talon would be less accurate and have more recoil if you don't have both hands steadying it...)

Ofcourse this is BioWare so we'll probably get a Typhoon buff...
