Mystic H, sorry if I sent you a party invite there. Accidentally hit over on my control stick when I went to hit leave party. I think my team is going to shoot for a couple more runs in the early afternoon, really want to get a sub 14 run with these weapons (Mattock, Hurricane, Carnifex, and Graal). If not we will be posting both our time and Gollum's at the same time.

Amazing job, guys. We're kinda lucky in that we were able to get a good run in within the hour and a half that we were able to all be on at the same time.

Kudos to Geekfest on coming up with the great strategy/placement on the map. The animated gif was quite helpful.

Also, GG to team snyper. Nothing to be ashamed about, anything sub 13 minutes is ridiculous.

Looking forward to the next round!


P.S. If at all possible, can we get next round done before everyone's time is sucked up by Borderlands 2? Either that or wait a month+ when we might not be playing that as much.

Current stats for Dark Souls

Deaths - Over 9000
Ragequits - 4
Progress - Not alot. Killed the first Black Knight, the Metal Boar and Taurus Demon in one sitting like a boss. Now I have either a giant dragon or lots of big knights hmm... FML...

I know I could go do some suicide runs for high level loot but then what's the point in playing Dark Souls?

Can't speak for the others, but for me I've been a bit sad about how this tournament went. I was pretty happy since we were going to compete on gold and not on platinum, where I still feel out of place with my low level gear/weapons.
Unfortunately our team couldn't get together since all of us had trouble IRL, me included. In the last 4 days I was barely online, even if I still kept posting here on the forum. Happens, In your place yesterday I wouldn't have played with the TV in that condition.
We had fun yesterday though, so who cares? Also, i'm happy that tatty won't win the first round by default.

Btw, yesterday I was suffering from heavy lag. It was actually the first time that I saw myself the "AF is on but the animation isn't" problem on the fury widely reported on the forum.

I've already said my peace, the tournament took too long to get off the ground and now people will be less available then during the holidays due to both school, work, college and Borderlands 2.

Also it's no secret how the draft went down. That could've went alot better. And alot more input could've occured with regards to the challenges, something that seems to happening with the next round.

But yeah I have no qualms with anyone in the group, the tournament concept just lacked the communication to really make it what it could have been.

I die like 5 times a day due to the annoying targetting and camera system making me fall of cliffs... and that's the cause of the least deaths lol.

It's still early days. I still haven't killed the Taurus Demon in the Undead Burgh so I have ALOT of rage quits ahead of me lol.

thank you both for being straight up about how you feel. my biggest problem with this whole mess isn't even how it went down (i was pissed off about that for a good while, let me tell you), it's that people have apparently twisted it around and blamed me for it.

that's your (general your) right, but you bring that to *me*. you air your grievances with *me*, and we hash it out like adults. when i hear that people in my group, that i'd like to think are my friends past mass effect 3, are talking **** about me behind my back over this stupid tournament (and, by extension, stupid game), that doesn't sit well with me.

i'm, quite frankly, disappointed and hurt that those who did wouldn't think to just try and come to me if they had some grievance to air. i've busted my ass for this group and its members, to make sure there's no petty bull**** like this going on, no problems, and that everyone can feel welcomed, learn, and have fun. all i'm asking in return is that people treat me with the same respect i've shown them in their time here.

Speaking of friends past Mass Effect I would like to urge everyone to sign up on the Team AreleX forums. It is becoming obvious that almost everyone is starting to enjoy this game less and less, myself included. Once certain games hit stores over fall and christmas I doubt you will keep in touch if you aren't on someone's friends list as much as you would like too.

The forums are a central hub for Team AreleX both in and beyond Mass Effect 3 and I, along with Slimjim (the creator of the sight), Bob, Tatty and Raz (all of whom have signed up) would certainly love to be able to play with you guys outside of Mass Effect in other multiplayer games (Borderlands 2, Resident Evil 6, Halo 4, Black Ops 2 etc)

i think i remember you outscoring me and tatty in a game with your eagle so that dosnt surprise me when you say you have done it.lol more impressive topping the scoreboard with it than getting 50 pistols.

Edit: omg, didn't think I'd ever see that platform again. Last time I used it was ~10 years ago.

So, our video is FINALLY done uploading (stupid asynchronous DSL) and is online here. Note that the quality sucks right now, but it should be up in full 1080p... eventually.

I gotta say, my hat's off to you, Geek. Don't think I've ever played with you.. but that seems like a pretty amazing time. I'm really looking forward to seeing the strat you guys laid down for it. Oh, and cheers to my teammates.. I had a blast, despite some of the stuggles!

Just watched the vid. We had a pretty different layout on our starting positions. The difference was fewer split spawns on the rocket waves. I'll be posting our walk through when everyone's times are in.

For some reason I have the feeling that your strat will be the same as Team Tatty's. Just a hunch ofcourse I'll probs be proved wrong. I did call it that you would smash it with your team. Mass, Mystic H and yourself are all better player than I am. Though I don't think I've palyed with your others.

LOL this time I might get reported, seriously. I wanted to try out the revenant 3 on bronze to get 3k credits to buy a PSP. For the lulz I equipped the spare ammo mod, and went to play.
Omg, I almost had infinite bullets. The AR was reloading faster than I was finishing the clip... I annihilated the entire wave 7,8,9 spawns alone, shooting like mad. Lol!
Infinite bullets hooray!

Edit: I got the Saber I in the PSP!
