Round 1 Challenges:

Full Team - Reapers/Reactor/Gold. Only retaliation dlc characters (Max 1 of each character). No Armored Compartments

Duo - Cerberus/White/Gold. No loadout restrictions. Teams should submit 2 best runs. Each person can only be in 1 submitted run.


Announcements:

We are extending the deadline to sunday night because of people traveling. If that is still not enough time we can look at extending that further. Round 2 will also likely have a little extra time due to new years. We are voting to see what challenges look the most interesting for future rounds on the team AreleX forums. If your schedule is incompatible with most of your team please PM me and we will try and get you on a team that works best for you.

I feel bad for you, you have to have scrubby slayin on your team. Still better then the team stuck with slimjim weighing them down though

I feel bad for them too, that guy is just plain awful. Still haven't heard from BjornDaDwarf and waiting to find out what time(s) are good for SimoneShepard.

To the rest of my team, I will be on today to start working on things. Gollum is unavailable until Friday at least, so any help getting things going would be great. Also, if you are interested in doing a Duo with me, please let me know now since I have at least 2 people doing one with me for sure and I'd like to do one with at least 2 others.

Slim just to be clear on the duos, you can only be a part of 1 of the 2 duos submitted for your team. Not that you can't try with a bunch of different members of your team though.

I understood that, but thanks anyways. I still want to try some with multiple members, why not if I get a better time with one than I do another and it becomes one of the two times submitted?

I should hopefully be back on tonight. Crapper and I tried a few duo's before I left, but I was hammered and he was at least a little buzzed, so I think we can probably improve on our times...by a lot.

Okay, so first general question, I assume there are more than 4 players per "team" so that if anyone can't make it, there are plenty of extras?  And that's also the reason for two times submitted, so everyone has a chance to play?

Second, @slim, I'm playing my shiny new Christmas games to start with tonight (Dishonored and/or Xcom), but later on I might be available to get some matches in.  My family would be....displeased...if I skipped out on playing the new games they got me to play more Mass Effect .

Yeah more or less that is why we went with larger teams this time. The last time it was way too hard to get everyone on at the same time. We are doing more challenges this time to keep things fresh and allow more people to get involved. Still the most important thing is to have fun with it.

Any early results to look at/compare? All I know so far is our best Reactor run is beating one of the other team's best run by I think at least a full minute. Don't know about the others though.

Interested in seeing what time your team posts. Are we/should we be keeping our scores/times to ourselves until it's time to submit them?

We have a great strategy in place, but we kept getting devices on every attempt (sometimes more than once in the same run), so that screwed us over a few times. Not sure if we're going to attempt another run, but if anyone on Team Geek Fest wants to give it another go, I'm down.

I'd say probably, but I don't think it should matter that much since this one is more for fun rather than a real competition. It isn't like the last one where teams could be knocked out of the tournament.

It shouldn't matter if you tell people what times you've posted... But just know that it might motivate them to get more runs in to beat your time
