Tournament? Forget that, BL2 has DLC.

Plus I hate you guys.

When you are out looking for a new job be sure to put the 20 headshot medal on your resume.

Was thinking about making a website all about me that I'd link to from my CV (resume, whatever), planning on using the picture of me with MY GOLD MEDAL as a background.

Make a real life gold replica and wear it around your neck, like Flava Flav.  It should also randomly play "BOOM, HEADSHOT!" lines from Pure Pwnage.

That's how I got my job.

I thought you got your job by putting those kneepads i got you to good use?

Was just going to hand around business cards with a link to the GOLD MEDAL WINNING game.  If I do this though employers will know that I'm a contender and will check the link out for sure, cheers Jack :)

Its to quiet in this thread :bandit: I think all the teams are practices to hard. We don't want to overtrain and injury ourselves this late in the season guys :D. Lets just let Team Na Na Na Boo Boo walk away with this comp. B) In the great words of The Humungus the Heroin of Mad Max 2 The Road Warrior

"There has been too much violence. Too much pain. But I have an honorable
compromise. Just walk away. Give me your pump, the oil, the gasoline,
and the whole compound, and I'll spare your lives. Just walk away and
we'll give you a safe passageway in the wastelands. Just walk away and
there will be an end to the horror
.
I await your answer. You have a full day to decide."

Not sure if I undertood the symbolism of that movie as I doozed offed thoughout the movie. Think some things went over my head .

This comp has been a flop from the start from my perspective. Fun trios and duos at least. To answer your question we did three trio runs so far no sniper games we may have been playing the wrong game after the trios.left 4 dead if anyone hasn't played/heard of it buy it great game.

Not sure how much I'll be able to play this week. Got some stuff happening that may keep me away from games. Sorry team.

The duos and trios have been fun because we've been able to spend a bit of time on them over a few days.  The four man runs haven't been fun because its been so hard to get four people on at once.   Trying to squeeze in as many games as you can in a short time and knowing that you won't get a really competitive time as a result isn't much cop.

Speak for yourself because I know my team has enjoyed the tournament. I have had participation from all members of my team (which has required some work). I have also seen positive posts from other competitors in the competition. Don't think we need that kind of negativity here. I wouldn't mind some constructive criticism about the tournament but saying "it's been a flop from the start" does nothing to help correct any issues. It's going to be impossible to please everyone but think Geekfest has done a fine job putting on a unique and creative tournament.

I've had fun personally. I think my favorite runs have been our flops more than our good runs though because they have led to some high comedy. Perhaps a bigger reserve pool might be in order if we could get more people interested. If you have too many people on a team though someone might get left out?

Some of our flops turned out to be all-time records haha. We must be nerfed.

Well I had plenty of ideas for different ways we could run things so it would be fun for everybody. We've not had fun.

I fine with your giving your perspective on the tournament but you failed to give any insight on why you feel this way. It came off to me as you feeling the tournament was handled poorly by the people putting it together. Your feedback would be helpful to us addressing any issues.

I said what I thought at he start and was pretty much shot down. I said what was rubbish about the first tournament and what I didn't like. This one has been pretty much exactly the same with the end result being similar - I no longer want to play ME3.

I think this tournament has been structred much better then the last one. I haven't had any issues with the tournament per se, I think alot of us have just gotten burnt out on the game. playing the same game mode for 1000+ hours will do taht to you and were all close to or over that mark

Well, I've been playing ME3 from the start, but this has been my first dip into speed-running (I've never even done a "real" Glacier speedrun). I just wanted to put my two cents in and say that, no matter what might have been done differently, I've had a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who helped put this together and put in suggestions, even if they weren't used.
Except the guy who suggested Geth London. There is a special place in hell for people like you.  :P

I took some of your suggestions Tatty and tried to put them in. Having the challenges last only a few days, having no eliminations, a bigger variety of runs to give everyone a chance to get involved.

I didn't use your suggestions of having no teams and making everything more of a free for all. I thought there would be a better chance of getting more people involved with a little more structure. That's on me and I am sorry if it hasn't been enjoyable. I took suggestions from a lot of people and did my best to make it work.

Haha, no wonder you didn't say anything when I was cursing the guy who came up with it.

Me: "Who the hell thought Geth London would be a good idea?!?"
