OK, The extraction point. I look at OP and I was confused. I think a video would be great. I have not see this method of speed running ever.
Their are several videos on arelex youtube channel of us doing speedruns but you only get one point of view. The runs are very hectic watching and you don't get a very good picture of our stategy overall, Best way is to do some runs with players from the group they will be more than happy to show you the ropes. Everyone is welcome here no matter the skill or experience level if they are willing to listen and learn.

Good games to tripenitence, defleshing, protoman, deafmedal and H2O. That goddamn critical health warning graphic is really starting to ****** me off...

Agreed on both counts, especially as an infilly you notice it interfering with your gameplay a lot more because of TC. And lol on that wave 9 when deafmedal got smacked down repeatedly by the Centurion and Geth Hunters camping his body. 100% damage resistance doesn't mean anything when you literally can't move because enemies are standing too close to you.
No good unlocks off those games though, except maybe rank 2 of Densified Ammunition.

You might be able to get time on Silver or Bronze to show people the basics in a vid. The skill would obviously have to extrapolated but the foundation for it would be the same. I would advise anyone who has any questions or anything about game mechancis, maps, builds or speedrunning (including the Glacier strategy) to any member you see post on this thread regularly.
The best idea would be to hit up AreleX, Bechter and Relix for a lesson or two when they offer them. There is a reason why every speedrun that's come from X-Box has always had them 3 in it...
Sucked that in our first run it was me on wave 9 against a lone phantom with 0 medi 0 ops 0 missiles and the Phantom ran around the map twice and killed me. -.-
I have added my gamertag but don't know my timezone, although it doesn't matter anyway, I am on when i'm on and it has nothing to do with my timezone, for example it is 3 am as I write this.
Hmm, I'm packing my bookshelves, but I'll keep an eye on this thread if anyone needs a fourth. Would like to get in a few more speedruns before the end of the day as the weekend's almost over *sniff*
pretty much any time we're home and on me3, which has been usually at least an hr or two a day recently.. if it'll be you two, i can try to get relix or bechter along as well.
is the stuff we've taught you carrying over to your own games smoothly?
Yes, thank you. I'm doing a lot better against Cerberus on Gold now. It's almost 100% success run rates even with PUGs. I did 3 successful PUG runs against Cerberus.
But the main problem is, a lot of times, my teammates just don't get it and tried to revive me after we completed the wave 10 objectives. I told them off over the mic only to be ignored. *sigh* So, we wasted a good 3 minutes going into the extraction round when we could instead commit mass wave 10 hara-kiri and be done with it.
Thats some serious trolling you're getting from the store there.
Hey Tatty, don't worry. You'll get the Typhoon eventually.
The stupid store is so freaking random. Sometimes, the store throws me 2 rares and an UR. But most of the time, I got trolled and get character cards for characters I've already unlocked, it's either that or 'rare' level IV ammos. There was once I cracked a PSP and got two character cards for characters that I've already unlocked... I almost died...
Anyone doing any lessons? My new pal is still online. He seriously need some tutoring as he has only been playing for a week. But he's decent on silver... even with sub-optimal builds and weapons... Would anyone be kind enough to show him the ropes?

Basically, you'll want to missle big group of dudes to clear faster. And never touch the big guys (atlas etc.) until you have completed your objectives as they will keep spawning.
Two groups of two is optimal. Split into two groups, and get to the spawn points at the beginning of each wave. Regroup after completing the wave to reset the spawn points.
Also, agree on location names. So, when you are in trouble, yell out your location and enemies. Or if you spot a couple of phantoms chilling around, yell it out to your teammates with the location of the phantoms so they are aware.
