Team AreleX presents.......Easy Mode Platinum

Four Krogan Vanguards tackle Platinum with casual indifference and a general air of laziness. Seriously, as long as you don't get yourself grabbed by Banshees this is a breeze.

of course its not a true krogaurd match till someone starts a mosh pit.

Tipsy and bored.
Need at least one person to play with.

Otherwise I'm taking my ass to silver and going to see if I can quadruple the score of 2nd place.

I'm down for a game or two if there is anyone who has room. I'm not the best but I can hold my own on Platinum. GT is same as BSN name.

Argh.

Modem keeps losing power randomly like every 10 minutes.
Sorry for screwing the games.

I'll have to hit up a best buy in the next couple days.

Good games to everyone I played with tonight. I played enough that I don't recall everyone's gamertags, but every match was entertaining. Had a couple close calls, a tankbee missiles, and a lot of laughs. Feeling really comfortable in all positions now on Glacier and just want to thank both Arelex and Bechter especially for all the help. Hope every gets the opportunity to play with these 2 and take the chance to learn from 2 of the best.

thanks slimjim, milk ninja, and arelex for helping me get my fastest extraction on platinum so far. even with the event going into overtime. appreciate the invite as always, can't wait to see the group get an 11 min extraction. so many good players in one spot its bound to happen. its an oddly good feeling to walk into a lobby get last on the scoreboard knowing you could have done way better and have it be your best game to date. good times

That is a feeling that Relix28 gets everytime he is in a lobby with myself and Arelex jk. Going to make a run at 11min tonight already have some impressive runs but don't want to post anything until we get a "perfect" run because bioware might take out the nerf stick again to everything in the video like last time.

great games to...let me try and remember everyone from the last day or two. was going to just list names, but just said *** it, can't sleep + they're all awesome, so everyone got a section. i used their gamertags so everyone can throw these awesome folks friend requests/roses/panties.

Slimjim0725
- undisputed champion of the night of me3. had two absolutely clutch solo objective clears on wave 10 platinum when we all wiped doing random stuff. he was jordan in the 4th quarter tonight, john elway on the drive. this may be his finest hour of me3, but what an hour it was. bravo, sir.

Colonel Oneill
- quite possibly the most adorable player ever, there's something about the genuine excitement in his voice during games that just makes me smile, probably because we all hate the game and speak in droll, sarcastic tones about it. i hope you keep that enthusiasm as long as possible, and enjoyed your first runs (hopefully of many) as part of Team AreleX.

GEEKFEST
- revives me and i never thank him, ever. the recipient of many of our most famous stories of speedruns of yore, and feels the pain as we did from them. will be part ouf our plot for sweet, sweet vengeance, though - you know what i mean, son. great games, and nobody cares how old or young you are, you're cool and easy to get along with, so play your me3 if it makes you happy, bro! **** work, all-fury platinum failruns for life!

milk ninja - my new boyfriend  even though he's too shy to admit it, he and i both know of the secret passions burning deep in the basement of firebase glacier. good games to you, buddy.  you're a very good player, and we hope to see you around more often. he is also  the master of Rio, and should be feared/respected for that reason alne

defleshing - you willingness to always improve is inspiring, and you're the kind of player i love to help, because i know that whatever the task at hand is, i can be sure that you're always going to put 100% into learning it and doing it well, even if it doesn't come right away. whenever you want to learn, we're always more than happy to help you do so.

grumpamen (aka grumpy) - stick with the balcony! when things go bad there, they go VERY bad, VERY fast, but it is also a baller  ass position; you hold off whole spawns almost solo, with no safety ned  to catch you when you fall after superconducting plasma balls hit you square in the chest. It's tough, but also very rewarding. to hold balcony with littl difficulty is something few people can do, and you'll have to work towards it, but once you get there, everything else is dead easy by comparison. good determination on sticking with it even after a few strugglefests, we'll get you even better at it next time we play, it'll put  some hair on your chest! some bass in your voice!

datako12 - quiet as a mouse in our party, which leads me to believe he doesn't like us or is scared of us for some reason :( the one other time i remember playing with you, you talked up a storm,  so no more creeping on our conversations and collecting info, join in next time! also, your switches from total silence to bone-jarring strings of profanity when you get grabbed make me crack up every time i think about them.

TankBee - what can i say about you that i haven't already said to you? when i came back for the first time in like a month a few days ago to finally play the dlc, you were in my first games, and i was absolutely impressed with how much you'd improved. you actually taught me a lot about platinum, since i'd never played it before, and are much more confident in your abilities. you are also a bomb-ass assistant teacher, and it's only a matter of time before you're tearing up records with us. don't worry though, folks; tankbee rockets are eternal (and now we have tankbee spawns and  tankbee nades hot on its heels). if you all believe it, i actually met tankbee in one off the very rare lapses of judgment where i play public, maybe 3-4 months ago, on gold firebase jade. she was really nice and chill, and was playing what i believe was a geth infiltrator with a mantis 10 - it was just love at first sight.

Relix - Scrub in AreleX's Backpack*

Bechter - Second Scrub in AreleX's Backpack**

tattyUD - Everyone give a round of applause to the newly-minted Third Scrub in AreleX's backpack, tattyUD! he has worked hard and rose from humble beginnings to earn this prestigious position in the backpack, and everyone should congratulate him on the effort he puts into getting better, and just being a solid, awesome guy all around.

The Group as a Whole - You're all awesome. there are over 100 of you, i've played with at least 25+ myself, and i've had a great time with every single one of you. you all know what the group is about: fun, learning, improving, helping, insulting (namely relix and bechter), and ultimately sharing something you enjoy with like-minded people who are easy to get along with. I am very proud of all of you for making this group into the drama-free, BS free safe haven from all the other obnoxiousness of BSN that it is now. You guys are the best, and i'll continue to look out for you as much as i can, as long as you continue to be the great folks you are now. that's what's most important. not your points, not your gear, not your skill level, those are all things that don't matter and can be improved with time. what matters is that we adhere to the ancient rule: be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

* i  love these guys, i wouldn't still be playing this game (or have the amount  of speed run records, also this group) if not for them. they've been indispensable from the start, as players and especially friends.

** they do have permanent slots in the backpack, though, specially reserved pockets with nooks and cradles and little rattles they shake when they need to be revived.

read this but forgot to reply. i wasnt mad at you, man. just frustrated that i'd turned down a lot  of other people to invite you since you msg'd me back to say yes and ask for an inv first, and all the others went back to doing their own things. then, it turns out that you've just started a run, and we're back in the same position we were in before. we're completely fine, you don't need to worry

Charge bug is not really an issue with this setup, especially if you pay attention to your HP bar and use ops packs instead of charge for those rare few instances where your HP drops dangerously low. And for the most part , if you are charging about every 5 seconds, you shouldnt be taking much health damage, if it all.

Posted Image I think this is the first time I've been called adorable before.  Don't worry I don't intend to change anytime soon and I plan on doing a lot more speed runs in the near future.  See you all in ME3.

Quick update on the new guy. Brought him into a White Cerberus Gold game today. Didn't do that well on the first run (died on Wave 9 when we were swarmed by 3 phantoms and 3 Atlases. Just as I was going to missle them, the phantom insta-killed me). We were a three man team (with one pretty decent random guy).

Second run was successful (on the same map and enemy, also on Gold) went to 25 minutes on the dot at Wave 10. We had a 4 man team this time with one really experience gold runner (helping me missle big groups of atlases).

I think the new guy is now addicted to Gold runs.

We spend way too much time on the Pizza delivery mission as two players went down early and I was the only one delivering the pizza (as I was nearest to both). The other player covered me with missles while I deliver it, also armed with a missle and 9 grenades since it was wave 10 objective.

Could have finished a lot sooner if we didn't screw up on the Pizza delivery.

It was fun playing 3 demolishers + 1 battlefield soldier. Grenades galore!!

Ps - I would like another speed run lesson from you guys soon as I think we might have done somethings wrong.

Thanks, man. I'll take you up on it but I'll only be online later today. Will see shoot you a message on Live when I head back home.

I need all the practice I can get. I'm still kinda new to this speed run thingy.

That was just my PUG background kicking in Arelex. That type of thing happens very often in pick up gold or platinum matches, so you got to get that win no matter what instinct in there. Also, I knew I had to make up for my 2 Tankbee missiles though the second one had a Brute jump in front and eat it for the target Atlas.

It is also great not to worry about the scoreboard other then to check wave #. Everyone almost always has a close score by the end which I feel says a lot about the group since I am used to outscoring the other 3 scores combined in public. To anyone who feels ovewhelmed playing with the likes of Bechter and Relix as I did in my first couple games with them make sure to ask questions on what you can improve on. I was already somewhat experienced by the time I first played with Arelex, but the same goes for him.

Tl;dr: There is always room for improvement and the 3 OG's of the group are amazing teachers. Hopefully I can be as helpful to other members as they have been to me.

But i will be able to hear you.

The first few waves of the fury failrun were a disaster. I was surprised we pulled it out. Ending with your epic solo of the rest of the target wave 10 was worth staying up late for.

@Geekfest: To be honest I expected an earlier wipe the way it was going. Everyone had a couple clutch moments that game, mine just seemed big due to what I ran by on critical health to get there. I know that Atlas on the stairs in side room had me a bit worried, just glad I could clutch it since it was the last target.

The hack circle wasn't nearly as epic though and Arelex gave me too much credit as I would not have finished it without milk ninja's big help.
