But that's just my opinion there. If it's shared, then it is. If not, then it's not.

Female krogan can fight. That is, however, not the problem. The problem is that they're too valuable to use as troops. They know that, the males know that. Their main concern is breeding, nothing else.
The thing is the only valueable female krogans seem to be the fertile ones. The infertile ones would probably not be so guarded, and willing to go out, and put some shotty rounds in the people threatening the future of their people.
The sterile ones are the decoys of the fertile ones, thought that much was clear in the game (krogan females shouldn't happen)
Female krogan don't work.
Female turian infiltrators are a nice idea.
More female humans would be helpful.
Vorcha are like worms and could very well be both male and female
Drell are a dying species as well so no.
Female geth... huh!!!

The idea of a female turian adept/vanguard/biotic bothers me on two levels.
(1) There aren't a whole lot of turian biotics anyway. Making one specifically biotic is just weird, especially if you don't have one as, say, an infiltrator (e.g., Garrus, though he didn't have cloak).
(2) I might be going out on a limb here, but saying that the female turian should be a biotic is like saying girls only play caster classes and healers in games. There's something about it that seems condescending, like girls can't shoot or take hits. In this game, at least, there's no difference health/ability-wise between the sexes, and making it so that female turians are just flimsy casters who wear robes (so to speak) is a little insulting. If I'm going to play a female turian, I'd like her to be in heavy armor, kicking ass and taking names just like her male counterparts.
I dunno. I feel like we get enough turian biotics with the sentinel's warp. I'm not accusing anyone of sexism, these are just the initial thoughts I had on this topic.
That being said, any female turian had better have a roll. She might not have reach but she's got hells of flexibility and isn't afraid to use it. Aethyl, you are totally right about this.
I especially agree with number 2. My friend would, too if she were on the forums. Women shouldn't be relegated to standing back, and casting coz they're frail, especially in Mass effect since they're treated equally.
I get the vibe of number 2 with the responses about Krogan Females, too, in that they shouldn't be out in the front lines coz they'd be squishier, or something. A Krogan female in armor, gleefully meleeing, and mauling people would be grand, IMO.
I'm just trying to not go on a tirade.
As said precedentely, Vanguards are the very front line of Mass Effect.
That's why I would prefer a female Turian Vanguard over an Adept.
If indeed we had to have a turian who's more biotic than the rest, I guess a vanguard would be the way to go. I'm just against the idea of a very biotic turian. On the one hand, it'd be cool to see, but on the other... it's just weird. There aren't a lot of biotic turians! There was Kaidan's trainer, and there was Saren (sort of - the times he uses biotic abilities seem to be mostly as plot devices in cut scenes, he doesn't use them consistently in battle).
That people think "oh, turian female, she's got to be a biotic" just makes the egalitarian in me cringe a little. One reason I never got into Brink was because it was a sausagefest, and I've been spoiled by Mass Effect's equal opportunity butt-kicking.
Agreed, I was really disappointed by that in Brink as well.
And same goes with the female Turians. Since the very first mass effect, I was really interested by the Turian species, and I was really, really hoping we could get a potential Turian female teammate during the adventure.
Kinda disappointing, we don't even see one. <_<
That's why I really want them to be implemented in any way in the universe of Mass Effect (still hoping for a Palaven DLC with female Turians inside but whatever, that's another subject).
Anyways, about the fact that female = biotics, I didn't personally see it this way.
I just thought it was a good way to introduce them into the game, while giving more diversity to the Turians.
Of course they could be Soldier or Sentinel, but giving them other specialisations could be more interesting in my humble opinion.
And finally, as you say, there aren't alot of Turian Biotics => They are still some of them in the Turian military, some being quite powerful as Saren or Kaidan's trainer.
If we think this way, we could also say then "we don't see any females in the 3 games, why should we get some now?"

Moklan is a male when the salarian said "whatever she wants" he was talking about Ariaairbornbacon wrote...
Someone mentioned Batarian females, didn't we run into one in ME2? Moklan or something.... right when you land on Omega? She looked and sounded like a dude, but the salarian she chased off referred to her as female.

I really doubt that every infertile female is going to stand by and be a decoy. especially vs a species that doesn't care if they're infertile, or not. I'd doubt that even some fertile females would stand by, and churn out kids. Some might actually wanna go out and fight.
Female krogans do work, coz there's this little thing called free will among sapient species. Female krogan aren't mindless drones that never vary from one another.
I wouldn't mind geth with a female voice, or a more feminine shape. <.< sure they're programs, and thus have no gender aside from mannerisms.
I don't think this whole "dying species" thing is solid ground. If the reapers win, they're dead anyhow. Some might figure it's better to go out fighting than rely on others to save their butts.

It's just the way the species was written. The Krogan have the men do most of the fighting because the females are far less expendable(Reglardless of outcome, they're going to be needed alive, not running suicide missions).
Every other species is fine(Drell are an unknown, but that just means yes since they can write basically anything they want and it'll fit) but Krogan male dominate their combat roles, and the women have the Asari.

Hey Rule 34 applied BECAUSE of rule 63 as well as the defunct 36 which previously stated that: EVERYTHING is someone's Fetish. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Don't know where that rule got moved to.

Yeah! Garrus in ME2 said women Turians can be pretty tough! <3

The Asari are only superficially women. Their species is a gender unto themselves. They really don't count.
Pardon me for feeling slighted coz the quarians are no longer female only, and for not getting a female phoenix member which is a bit of a letdown considering I figured Mass effect to be progressive enough to keep women in mind when making DLC.
So it kinda stung to see a male only DLC pack. I mean they added -2- phoenix members. Would it have killed them to make one a female? Unless they're rolling out something like a Phantom-ish female Phoenix member, or something else worth the wait later on, 'm not pleased.
I'd like to see a normally male only represented species have a female counterpart in MP. Preferrably krogan which would make a friend of mine feel better, and would make me feel better, too.
As far as the krogan women go, Bioware can believeably write some women going into combat, IMO. They're a species of warriors. There's bound to be female representatives out there to show the galaxy that the women aren't gunna get pushed around, and will, instead, show their strength as pretty much all Krogan do.
On another note, what with the mentions of Brink, yeah I'm irritated they "cut"/didn't include women in Brink myself.
