But it would be weird if you would hit against plate armor and get the same result. This should only result in blood if its some sort of sneak attack or critical hit.
Swords and Axes should cause more blood to be seen than a blunt weapon for sure.

I don't need to wait for the game to come out. I have seen plenty of combat gameplay footage and I have also read the GamesRadar write-up belowTheBlightEmperor wrote...

Well I would rather have too much blood and gore, than none at all. I am just hoping that someone is able to mod the core blood effects to tone them down a bit. As-well-as the amount of blood that splashes all over your character.Elvhen Veluthil wrote...
I really, really dislike all that blood. I don't like the blood dragon logo and that sound of it. It may make the game less enjoyable for me. There is a gore toggle for the gameplay but not for the cutscenes.

really weird is the blood fountain spraying out of skeletons or even ghosts. that's ridiculousInhuman one wrote...
I personly like a realistic amount of blood. Its kind of weird if there wont be blood if you hit someone in the face with a big axe.

Indeed. A blade to the chest doesn't magically turn a man into a waterfall of gore.Calydon wrote...
There is way too much blood. It's a bit like an Eastern RPG (think Lineage) where every footstep, swordclash and object in a battle generates sparkles and flashes to the point where you can't really tell what's going on anymore. Except in DA the sparkles are blood drops. I'm all for realism but geysers of blood with every sword stroke is not realistic.

Maybe these poor fellows cannot afford good padding and have to fill their armour with tomatoes instead?

omg... ok, you changed my mind. If I can set the Hawaii 5-0 theme to be the soundtrack for the entire game, I will not only keep the blood on, I may look for mods to make the violence even more goreyCalydon wrote...

Yeah, there were some great blood splats but really, none of that seemed like too much for me. A guy gets stabbed with a sword and there's a little shower of blood. I was expecting the typical anime hydro-pump shots of blood.Taltherion wrote...
