She makes a lot of really good points, but she comes across as conceited. She wants video game companies to hire "real writers". I've seen real writers try to write video games. No thanks. Not to mention as much as the ending to ME3 sucked, it was better than 90% of the crap in theaters or on TV.

As I understand it-the choice would have come down to deciding to destroy the reapers (who could be killed with dark energy) and face destruction yourself or let the reapers live and have them destroy the dark energy.  I think it was something like that, but not sure.  Parts of it were left in and even Conrad Verner's appearance and help with the crucible is part of that original line of thought.  The crucible was in some backstory info, supposed to be a dark energy weapon (Conrad's help).  I think that there would have been more time to flesh it out and there were lots of hints at it as a solution.  And then there were actual other explanations as to what the reapers were and why.  Combining the two (reapers existence and then ways to solve them as a problem) at the end just mashes it all together-neither things fit with other things that were discussed in any credible way throughout ME.

Wat? Are you talking about RGB or the Dark Energy plot. The latter was mentioned a few times in ME1, and heavily in ME2 with the quarians and Legion.

I quoted a post on the dark energy plot-and was commenting on it.  Dark energy was mentioned in several places and there were discussions about it as well and interviews with Drew on it.  I was trying to remember all I had read on it.  Some of it from the leaked ME3 script.

Uh, no.  No it wasn't.  It really featured some very childish views of the inability to overcome differences when the galaxy had already just done so.  It was godhood and the salvation of mass murderers with people goo inside them, forced change to the bodies of all living beings-a sort of molestation, genocide, and suicide for adhering to one's principles.  Great way to end a game.  A monkey could write a better ending and certainly an actual writer could as well.

And you know in order to ever put forth anything you've done creatively you need to have some bit of conceit, but along with that you also need to be able to get real and recognize a miss.

That Measure of a Man episode indicates some very real quality in her personality so if she wants to have some conceit, then that's fine with me.

After reading that she wanted a generic style ending I was like lol no.

I'm not the biggest fan of the one we got but at least it's not derivative.

Ah, I see you've never played Deus Ex.

You should, it's an excellent game.
