The metacons weren't a synthetic race that was just the name of the war. The Zha'til were working for the Reapers, the Geth didn't start that conflict and it can still end in peace.saracen16 wrote...

that conflict between organics and synthetics is not inevitable.
And the geth who drove the Quarians into exile, the Zha'til, the Metacons, and Project Overlord suddenly mean nothing? Regardless of the outcomes of these situations, conflict DID happen.
Doesn't matter. Conflict is inevitable. It happened.
And conflict will always occur whether between two organic species or between synthetic and organic. Just because it occurs though doesn't mean one side gets wiped out completly.
The Catalyst considered it an inevitability for what I think is an obvious reason: it almost happened during the time of the creators. We only have 50,000 year cycles that showed us AI who have already the capability to wipe them out. But that didn't happen because the Reapers stepped in the previous cycles. This cycle is different.

Conflict is inevitable between ALL sapient creatures, ergo genocide is justified?

I enjoy it, and I'm sure she could write a good game with bioware. You know what would be insane though, if they hired her temporarily as a guest writer for a DLC, that'd be crazy.

Which would be cool.

It's actually a pretty good episode. You should watch.

She's right, Bioware should give her a call.
I'm guessing she burned her bridges when she wrote, "EA/Bioware = Condescending Jackasses."

After reading that she wanted a generic style ending I was like lol no.
I'm not the biggest fan of the one we got but at least it's not derivative. They just needed to give the catalyst a more logical reasoning and it would be fine.
Are you serious????
The ending is blatantly ripped off from another video game (and a recent one at that).

Nah, it's a rip-off of Deus Ex 1, not Human Revolution. I wouldn't class the original Deus Ex as a recent game.
Doesn't change your point though.

It's an appeal to probabilty, and it happened once during the time the Reapers were first created. Every other time I know of Zha'til the Geth the Reapers were a catalyst in starting or renewing hostilities between organics and synthetis. The Reapers are a self-fulfilling fallacy.saracen16 wrote...

I find this funny, Star Trek is a poorly written TV show to begin with, you would think BioWare would offer them help in making conflict...
Yeah, so poorly written that its had roughly 12 movies. 5 TV series most of which lasted for 7 seasons, one animated TV series, at least one toy line. And probably have more on the way. In a series which has been around for about 40 years.
Meanwhile, thanks to the third and supposed final installment of the series, there is no knowing what is in the future for Mass Effect. Aside from DLC.

You didn't finish the analogy.
Therefore, genocide of all caucasians is mandated.

I think we should merge all caucasians and asians together to form a new framework... a new DNA.

The series was broadcast in first-run syndication with dates and times varying among individual television stations. The show gained a considerable following during its run and, like The Original Series, remains popular in syndicated reruns. It was the first of several series (the others being Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise) that kept new Star Trek episodes airing continuously from 1987 to 2005. Star Trek: The Next Generation won 18 Emmy Awards and, in its seventh season, became the first, and currently only, syndicated television show to be nominated for the Emmy for Best Dramatic Series. It was nominated for three Hugo Awards and won two. The first-season episode "The Big Goodbye" also won the Peabody Award for excellence in television programming. The series formed the basis of the seventh to tenth Star Trek films.LinksOcarina wrote...

In 1997, the episode "The Best of Both Worlds, Part I" was ranked #70 on TV Guide's 100 Greatest Episodes of All Time.[2] In 2002, Star Trek: The Next Generation was ranked #46 on TV Guide's 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time list.[3] and in 2008, was ranked #37 on Empire's "The 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time".[4]
