For insanity. Piercing Mod and Extended Mag. Fire in extended bursts. After you use 50 ammo the damage skyrockets as the gun kicks into overdrive. What class do you use?ff-leishi01 wrote...

Again particle rifle is great. Carry it as single weapon and your cooldowns are great.ff-leishi01 wrote...
What has everyone been using on insanity? See I stuck with Phaeston X but, well, its just not doing the damage I was hoping for on InsanityXx
Thanks! I never really bothered with the Particle Rifle tbh, it didnt seem to do much damage when I used it! What mods did you use? Xx

I use the Revenant on insanity.
AwesomeDoes the accuracy not bother you? Xx
not really as I said before if you fire in short bursts you can keep it pretty accurate, I play as a solider, I don't know if that makes a difference though.
Oh and I have platinum'd it btw. In other words I finished my insanity run through. Its pretty easy tbh.

I also love the Falcon for it's proximity detonations.

I like the Particle Rifle with ext. barrel and mags. Unlimited ammo and it dissolves corpses, so cannibals can't use them to get extra armour.

Falcon sucks now, they nerfed it. Striker Assault Rifle is the new Falcon, but it doesnt exist in SP

I loathe the Revenant, even with the stability upgrades, its still a **** to control for me,
The Revenant is a god amongst guns! Paired with Inferno ammo, it's firepower is far greater than anything in the game. It's can take out Brutes in 4 seconds, and Harvesters in 6.
Never had a problem with the range. Shoots enough bullets to do the same amount of damage as an Avenger at medium range, and of course it becomes the death zone if you move and inch closer.

In fact that weapon is so OP, I didn't use it on my first playthrough. I like progression, damn it.

We should start a Revenant fan club, although I think it might have only two members

There is literally not a single difference besides the reload time being increased by 2 seconds.Tealjaker94 wrote...

I enjoy using the Argus rifle myself.
Argus looks and sounds awesome, but the weight to damage ratio really brings it down imo.
My favorite is the Mattock.

It also has less shots per clip, reduced accuracy, and increased recoil. Don't get me wrong, I used the revenant before I downloaded from ashes, but it's nowhere near as dominant as me2.Calibrations Expert wrote...

In Mass Effect 2, it was capable of fire rapid enough that the controller couldn't keep up.
In Mass Effect 3, it was moddable to become anything you needed: sniper rifle, personal artillery unit, etc.

On a side note. Any of the assault rifles seem viable on Hardcore difficulty and below because of upgrades. Insanity is a different story.

Revenant with stability damper is deadly at middle and close-range because of fire-rate. Same problem as above.
Or Mattock.

N7 Valkire have less damage and significantly lower recoil
Mattock much inferior to its counterpart from the ME2
