Used to play Turian Soldier and Sentinel before falling in love with the melee tank that is Krogan Sentinel.
Both Turian and Krogan have similar mobility issues, but Krogan Sentinel has far better survivability and specs much better into melee backed up with a high damage shotgun with blade attachment for that extra oomph.

If Turians had either improved mobility or longevity in combat (without mods/gear) I'd honestly play them as often as I used to.

Not a big fan of Turian Sentinels....or sentinel classes altogether.

But the Turian Solder >>> any other race in it's class IMO. Marksman + Harrier(3) and I'm popping balloons everywhere.....until I run outta ammo.

0/6/6/6/6 Batarian soldier With harrier and reegar.  I play it a lot because it's true soldier. Just your weapons, armor, a few nades and beating people's azes.  Because soldiers shouldn't need powers.  He owns hard.

Going to try that seeing how I'm capped on the respec cards.

Quick question though....with the Batarian Enforcer skill tree, does the force bonus % improve the blade armor in any way?

I've successfully played a turian soldier on bronze and silver, but I have to hunker down and never get caught in the open. For me, the open maps are a death trap for my turian.

I play turian soldier almost exclusively on gold with friends, silver in pugs. ( will play AJ at times)

This is how I play him

1. Keep the pressure on. if you arent reloading, you should be firing, either PM or with your weapon.
2. know your distances. You want to be hip fireing medium and closer.
3. MM is for high hitpoint targets, and cleaning up after PM. IMO PM is almost always the better choice, beyond close range.
4. Contrary to popular belief , you can hit with hurricane at long range, and be effective from cover, you just need to stop long enough to fire off PM every time it is up. (ideally you want to close with the enemy, you are at your best at medium/short range)
5. Know your maps. Know where your soft cover is. Learn how to fire pm from cover, it has a habit of sticking to  your cover if you aim wrong.
6. Use pm to scout. If you are coming to a doorway and you don't know what is on the other side, fire pm. There is never a reason to go in blind.
7. If you are not aiming your weapon at thier head, you will need to become real good friends with the ammo box.

I am not the best at any class by a fair margin, but I can survive and contribute well at gold level. The turian soldier is fun for me, and in the end, that is all that really matters.

I don't like playing the turian sentinel but sometimes I like the turian soldier I love the marksman no doubt about that I just don't like the fact I cannot roll with the turian classes if it were able to roll it the turian soldier would be a lot better.

Standard deductive logic would tell me no, but don't know for sure.  Not that it matters, your a shoot and punch stuff guy with that build and benefit more from headshot damage in any case.

For fitness go all survivability except for rank 6, you'll pretty much just heavy melee weak or almost dead mobs to keep the 30% weapon damage going.

They are as immobile as a Krogan with only a slight durability increase over humans. If they could do the side-hop-thing that Quarians, Salarians and Geth have then they would be much more viable. Don't get me wrong, I love my Turian Soldier, but in order to really have fun with them you need to find a weapon that meshes well with Marksman. Tempest, Hurricane, Saber, Claymore, Scimitar, Revenant and Vindicator are all good weapons to use on them, but not many people will go through the trouble of testing every weapon to find the one that works with this particular class, especially when you consider the mobility issues they are fighting with the entire time.

This is SO different from how I play my Turrian Soldier, but I will admit that it does sound effective.  I actually don't use Proxy Mine at all on mine.  >.>;  My Turian Soldier is more or less "Space Rambo"...

They have terrible agility and don't have awesome melee to make up for it. However I love the Turian soldier and sentinel, I use them all the time.

I tend to have a pretty stationary playstyle anyway, so Turians suit me fine. I usually just hole up in a defensible spot and spew lead at my enemies, moving around as necessary.

Whoa no need to get so mad, I'm not saying that Infiltrators, geth, quarian male, and Adepts aren't good classes they are all very good some are great, but just because the Turian Sentinel isn't OP doesn't mean he not good.

Everyone know Infiltrators, geth and quarian male are OP because they are very easy to use, that not a bad thing, but to say that the Turian Sentinel can't match up to them is wrong.

The Turian Sentinel has more health and shields then all the classes you listed.

Does rolling really save you that much on gold if your going to die rolling won't help.

He to slow? Use an Adrenaline Module III you have 55 of them what are you saving them for.

If you don't have a Hurricane ( your is level 4 two levels higher then mine) use a Tempest or Locust or geth SMG they work just a good as the Hurricane.

And finally have you used him lately if you haven't give him a try you have all of the guns hes good with.

Erm..........

Yeah i was like:blink: too, he wants us to use a locust? Seriously?

@OP: Because these are the male Turians. They have reach, but not flexability.

A Sentinel with 6/6/6/5/3 with a SMG and AP ammo has almost no problem against any faction.

Yeah, and an adept or infiltrator can do the same without needing ammo. Plus lack of evade means you die a lot.

Because they have stronger shields to compensate, duh. Of course this doesn't work with the "avoiding hits" strategy that is rather fundamental to the *cover* based shooter genre but hey, it's Bioware. Of course they wouldn't think it through.

Well the quarian male engineer has as much shields as the turian and he can hop and roll. Turians deserve more mobility, their power sets are really neat, it's too bad they have a broom up their bottoms.

Just as did 2 quick matches with the turian soldier, i love the class, but its powerset is absolutely garbage (3 great powers, that lock each other out, if thered be a passive or a grenade instead of pm or cs and this would be a great class, or if at least marksman would reload like arush)
