Whoa no need to get so mad, I'm not saying that Infiltrators, geth, quarian male, and Adepts aren't good classes they are all very good some are great, but just because the Turian Sentinel isn't OP doesn't mean he not good.

Everyone know Infiltrators, geth and quarian male are OP because they are very easy to use, that not a bad thing, but to say that the Turian Sentinel can't match up to them is wrong.

The Turian Sentinel has more health and shields then all the classes you listed.

Does rolling really save you that much on gold if your going to die rolling won't help.

He to slow? Use an Adrenaline Module III you have 55 of them what are you saving them for.

If you don't have a Hurricane ( your is level 4 two levels higher then mine) use a Tempest or Locust or geth SMG they work just a good as the Hurricane.

And finally have you used him lately if you haven't give him a try you have all of the guns hes good with.

Erm..........

Yeah i was like:blink: too, he wants us to use a locust? Seriously?

If you have nothing else the locust works pretty well on a Turian Soldier, he the only character who can use it and not have it not suck, but if you have anything and I mean anything else don't use the locust.

If I am playing a sentinel, the Turian is my go to guy. Easy to be top scorer with him.

I play one every now and then, but no rolling and they don't really have anything fun going for them. Krogan, at least, bring more entertainment and so do Batarians. Of course, from a pure power perspective, Vorcha seem to be causing the decline of all three races. I see them disproportionately missing in online play since the Vorcha was released.

I play on ps3 so it my be that, but I run it to more Drell Vanguards then I do Turian Soldiers/Sentinels.

Sure It took me awhile to play as them but once I did I love them both.

Soldier is great but Sentinel may be the most powerful character in the whole game.

A Sentinel with 6/6/6/5/3 with a SMG and AP ammo has almost no problem against any faction.

Why aren't they used more if I knew how good they were I would have used them so much earlier.

It must be PS3. I play on XBOX Live and tons of people play the Turians. They are awesome. The soldier is the best at handling ANY weapon in ME3 and make them sing! If you think a weapon sucks in the game (e.g. SMG's)....try it with the Turian Soldier..you will truly change our mind.  The Turian Sentinel is so powerful and I see him used ALL the time. So,  yes I think its just in PS3 as in XBOX we see Turians all the time.

Mobility is an issue, but I think the bigger issues are the classes are not obvious.

Sentinel is a jack of all trades.  But the game generally rewards being specialized.  Most people go max Tech Armor.  I think that's a major mistake.  3, 6, 6, 5, 6 is the way to go.  Pop Tech Armor when it is needed, not just leave it on all the time.  Between Warp and Overload, you can kill things in a steady matter while assisting the team in every way.

Soldier actually started becoming really really good with Mines being amazing and using Marksmen to headshot bosses.  But then headshots were taken away, and now they don't kill bosses as quickly.  I'm actually going to try to respec using CS next time with Mines.  Because right now, I pretty much use Mines exclusively.  There's no real reason to use Marksmen except to kill a boss due to the RoF.  And I still end up using Mines for the damage buff from all sources.  Mines cooldown very nicely as long as the weight is above 100% (about 6 seconds I think).  It used to be I fired off a Mine, aimmed at head of a Prime, and then hit Marksmen, and watched the Prime's HP disappear within seconds.  Now it's I fire a Mine, and just shoot, repeat when Mines are cooled.  The only other time I use Marksmen is when Mines are hard to place (usually an open area without walls or really far away where Mines are not easy to aim).

There's no reason to use either class when people can overpower enemies via Infiltrator or Adept/Engineer.

my guess is the lack of dodge or fancy powers. but TS + Marksman + Harrier = Death dealer

Both turians powers are boring to me.

Marksman provides no defense. Turian soldier has no grenade power, and bad mobility. Any + that comes with the class i can manage on other classes.

Turian sentinel is a good gun tooting bullet sponge, tech armor all day but still itd judt not a good class to me, tech bursts arent a promise on that class...its just urgh..

I use them from time to time. But with no combat dodge and roll it annoys me when I can use a character that can move faster.

Same reason nobody really plays Krogan or Batarian - stunlock. On gold it is hard to move, and the Turian is squishiest of the three. It is a frustrating experience getting my BatSol through Gold Geth, and I can't imagine trying it with a Turian.

Having no dodge really hurts these classes, since straight up DR and Health/Shields doesn't balance out the stunlock.

I'm on ps3 and the turian sentinal is one of my go to guys for random games, although the lack of mobility can be annoying but he has a tool for every situation. The turian soldier however I just cant get the hang of.

Hurricane + Passive Stability Bonus + Marksman + Headshots = Mobile Turret. Except you kill faster.

If you don't have the Hurricane, try the Tempest and fire from the hip, don't aim down the sight.

Spec 6/0/6/6/6 (some prefer 6/3/6/6/5, to each his own) and go damage/damage debuff/damage on proxy mine. Save it for bosses. Drop 2-3 proxy mines on them and go to town.

Once I got the hang of it it easily became the deadliest character in the game (for me).

I promoted my Soldier last night, played a silver game against reapers and scored almost 90k with a level 1. I was using the Hurricane, 1 point in Marksman, 1 point in Turian Veteran. Gear: Expert Package III, Stabilization Module II, SMG amp II, AP ammo II.

The other players in my squad were all level 18-20, and two of them tried to kick me...but I was at my buddy's house playing with him so they couldn't =)

Just practice with him. You'll get it.

I use the Turian soldier, but honestly... I don't like Turians. I said it. I don't even like Garrus all that much, the only Turian I really like is the Councilor because he's funny.

A Turian Soldier is the “Hold The Line” Race. I have used it as my primary for a while now. Granted my build is a bit unorthodox however and it does take using and failing at it to really see how fundamentally good the race/class is.

I had always hoped that Marksman worked like Geth Hunter Vision, once on it stayed on. Juggling Prox Mine cool down and Marksman turned him into a Hurry up and wait class. In frustration and simple ‘What If” I used a re-speck card and ignored Marksman all together.

Granted it took several re-specks to get the correct balance, once I did I’ve never changed him.

Concussive- Force/Damage-Recharge-Shredder

Prox- Radius-Damage Taken-Recharge

Vet- Damage/Capacity- Power-Stability

Max Helth/Sheilds

Equip the Hurricane (With Weight Mod) and the Carnifex and the recharge is at 200% add Mental Focus or Pistol Mod. Over time getting accurate with the Prox Mine becomes very effective at Debuff and staggering groups. Concussive becomes the ‘Where did that come from” life saver.

1) Turian Soldier without Marksman?
2) ULM only works on GPSMG. Patch 1.03 didn't fix this, and it doesn't matter what you see in your power screen. This has been established.
3) Hurricane with Marksman does insane DPS!

Turian Sentinel is my go-to class for PUG matches where I can't count on teamwork. I'm no lone wolf by any means, but I know if I take out the Tsent that I can take care of myself if need be. He's not spectacular, but he's self-sufficient.

There is so much wrong with this post...

As someone else already stated...

TSo without marksman? Fail.
ULM? Ultra-fail.

I feel like this is one of those times that after the world has been proven to be spherical, you're the guy still preaching that it's flat.

@ RydeCrash:

Max out Marksman for RoF/Headshot Damage/Weapon Damage & Stability and equip the Hurricane with a High Caliber Barrel, Heat Sink or Clip Capacity, and AP ammo. Use the Expert gear package.

Then tell me how good your build is.

Brutes are a joke. Ravagers are a bad joke. Banshees are the girl that plays hard to get...but if you've got enough game, she'll give it up in time.

Phantoms, Atlases, and Primes are like the amateur stand up comedian that gets booed off stage. Permanently.

I'm trying not to be offensive or disrespectful here, but I feel like you're really, REALLY misguided.

Turians are VERY underrated. Both the Soldier and Sentinel can be built to line up consistent headshots with high-recoil weapons, which means unrivaled effectiveness with all non-sniper weapons. They've got great powers, too. Some people just can't get over the lack of rolling/dodging, and I admit they are more vulnerable to instakills; but that just means you have to be more careful around those types of enemies.

I've actually noticed a sudden spike in Turian usage lately... I had several matches where 3 of our 4 squad members were Turians (one of them being me, I've been rocking Turian Sentinel with a Harrier lately).

This. He's the only MP Sentinel that works like a proper Sentinel.

This too. You just can't depend on squad synergy in PUGs, and he lets you be prepared regardless.

Ha. No.

Because people hear about how good they are (from quality players that know how to use them effectively), try them, suck, and then tell everyone else they're bad.

The Turian Sentinel is the only proper Sentinel in MP.
Their proficiency with ARs, SMGs, and shotguns is unrivaled. The Harrier, Hurricane, Revenant, GPS, Crusader, etc. are all most effective on a Turian.
Marksman is easily one of the best powers in the game.

I know right, once you see a boss just drop how can anyone say Turians are bad.
