I like my Turian Soldier quite a bit. I would probably use him more if I wasn't so obsessed with being Krogan 95% of the time.

Because they can't roll xD I like Turians especially the sentinel. Warp debuffs and chain overloads to strip shields and stunlock. Just can't self denonate

Warp detonates Overload. So you can get tech bursts, just not Biotic explosions.

I think the duration on Overload is so short that you cannot do this with Tech Armor active. At least I can't with a Carnifex VI.

I was one of those buttholes who never used Turians until like a week ago when I tried them. Now they are my favorite class. I can't choose between the Sentinel and the Soldier.

The whole lack of dodge rolls is what gets me, though I still enjoy playing as one.

Just when banshees show up and do their magnet hands, I can't do anything but try to turn and run, only to get grabbed. Anyone that can roll can escape this fate most of the time.

Other than that I love the Turians.

The Turians are too sluggish for my tastes and I am not a fan of their powers/abilities.

Well...I personally don't like the "career" choices available to turians...nor do i like the tech powers associated with them.  not part of my play style.
I guess that's just how I "roll"  :o:D:O:D:O:D:O:D

7 I think.

3.5 seconds I think, it is much closer to the truth than 7 seconds anyway.
You have less than 4 seconds to detonate tech bursts.

Yep, I must have that confused with another power ^_^ In any case, it's plenty if you have a good CD bonus.

...Because it feels like I'm controlling a tank stuck in quicksand whenever I break them out of retirement.

Sometimes I like to sprint in circles around the map on my TSentinel, going "brrrm I AM AN M1-ABRAMS TANK BRRM!"

People tend to not appreciate it though.

That's because they sold their souls to the RNG Gods for all of my Harrier unlocks.

Pure evil. :crying:

Tried a Turian Sentinel last night and loved it. He cuts through Geth like a hot knife thru butter and warp/ overload can handle anyone else almost as easily. True I had to be more careful about allowing for lack of mobility, but he feels like a killing machine.

i like sniper rifles, grenades, and generally use fast-moving characters over slower stronger ones.

The annoying thing about the lack of a Turian roll is that Marauders can roll. They dodge my Incinerate/Cryo Blast all the time.

The Reapers figured out the Turian race's greatest flaw and fixed it for them. And them turned them into roving death squads.

Just seems a bit unfair that the evil "Turians" can roll and the good ones are stuck standing around in a hail of gunfire.

It's a shame the humans didn't turn out as well.

All we can do in Reaper form is force people into a QTE.

The soldier is squishy as hell. No amount of DPS can save you from being surprised by a phantom or a group of enemies if you can't neither roll nor tank efficiently.

The Sentinel makes up for the lack of rolling by having tech armor, but only because they buffed it both directly, and indirectly by adding gear like stronghold package.

Truth is, every race should be able to roll/sidestep, except for krogans. It makes no sense that turians and batarians can't roll, and this only disencourages new players to play with these races.

Soldier problems: Has concussive shot, no grenade, can't use proxy mine while in marksman, marksman is really not that great compared to other dps boosting powers.

Sentinel: Better, but has a hard time comboing on his own.

Problems both turians have, lack of mobility and dodge and thus general survivability. Prone to get stunlocked by geth, can't dodge the phantom palm canon and can instakilled more easily than most characters, This lack of mobility without nothing to really make up for it really puts me off the characters. If they only were powerful enpugh to make up for it like the batsoldier I'd use them, however they are not.

I often play a Turian Soldier with a good Hornet and stability armor upgrades. Constant Concussive Shots, Proxy Mines, super fast Hornet reload and the occasional Marksman use almost makes up for the lack of dodging. They should at least be able to do the weird hops that qalarians and quarians do.

I'm actually amazed you think Batarian Soldier is anywhere near as strong as Turian Soldier...

Anyway, we'ge been here before... :P

I replied to your post in the other topic we were discussing this, btw.
