So, having not read it, this seems to occur in 9:38 dragon, which I believe is a year after DA2 ends, right? What does this mean for canon - Shouldn't Isabela have disappeared already at this point? What is Bioware's canon for DA2? I know for example Alistair becomes king in the canon - what of DA2 - is there canon for who won the battle in Kirkwall, or does that not matter as the circle of magi breaks from the chantry anyway?
Could someone summarize briefly the events that come after DA2, and presumably before DA3 (so far.)

Nothing beyond Alistair being king is really set in stone in those comics.
Why would Isabella have disappeared?

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Varric say pretty much all the companions disappeared (while talking to the Seeker in 9:40 at the end of DA2), going their own way - including Hawke's sibling, if they are alive? Including the romantic interest which could potentially be Isabela. I'm just a little surprised that a comic exists that talks about a character after DA2 occurs, when that character is supposed to be with hawke (for some percentage of all players) and makes no mention of hawke?

They went their separate ways. That doesn't mean they all disappeared off the face of the earth (save Hawke).
Don't think of this story as "canon". Think of it more as an Elseworld plot that stars an Alistair and Isabela that aren't neccessarily your Alistair and Isabela. (Although they could be, if you choose.)

OK, that's a little odd, but OK.
As for the going their own way thing, is that true? Again, in some instances, if they are the romantic interest they don't split.
Either way, hadn't known about elseworld.
Thanks for the reply!
