You'd pay $80 for an ending? wtf

& no, I wouldn't buy the DLC unless it's long, interesting, fun and in a environment we've never seen before.

I know it's a ridiculous amount of money and they'd never charge that much unless it was some sort of expansion. But I honestly just want to Mass Effect and Shepard to get the ending they deserve so much, that I'd be willing to pay excessive amounts for it. Then I could find peace with it and let the story go.

Ahhh ok, I understand that.

I'll go with yes, if the content is sufficient.

Assuming you have to pay, I'm going to be a ****** and say probably if it comes with extra ending DLC, probably not if it has no ending DLC.

Would you pay for Leviathan dlc?

At this point, I'm hard-pressed to see why I would.

- Expand upon the lore? Between two lead writers with radically different ideas the lore has become such a convoluted mess that adding anything on top of it could very well cause the whole structure to topple and collapse under its own weight. This problem was already evident in ME2, and ME3 has done nothing to convince me that things are moving in the right direction.

- Expand upon the ending? Official communiques state that that is not going to happen. I'm not sure if I should lend any further credence to official communiques given their track record, but that's a different discussion altogether. And that doesn't even touch upon the problems with the existing endings (which ties in at least partially with the previous point) as explained in thousands of threads on the BSN.

- Expand upon the gameplay? It's an idea, given that there are only 29 combat missions in ME3 (the remaining missions are fetch quests), but with replayability already in limbo I'm not sure it would be worth the money - money I could also invest in another game. Assuming a piece of DLC will cost ten dollars, that's about one-third the cost of, say, Torchlight II.

If it was as good as Lair of the Shadow Broker, I'd definately pay 800MS points for it. Hopefully it is and has some good boss enemies instead of the usualy banshees. My shepard wants something new to kill.

If it either:
(1) Gives me a new squadmate----has to be a Renegade style one; The current squadmates are decent and beautiful, but except Javik, they're all "too Paragon" :?
(2) Gives me more Renegade Interrupts/Intimidation to hit
(3) Gives me more aesthetic customization for Shepard

I'm buying

Leviathan dlc (impacts ending: successful refuse option) : Yes I would, definitely. $8-10.Image IPB
Leviathan dlc (normal SP dlc: Foreshadows Catalyst's logic) : Pass, then burn my copy of Mass Effect 3, although the box will make a nice doorstop.Image IPB

Don't you think thats a little extreme or overdramatic? Besides you don't have to buy it.

Hi Five me brother! Renegade all the way (except in mass effect 1 with Wrex and the Rachni because why would you killl either). Javik is awesome, and has a great set of powers (well two really, the other two are just bonuses).

Depends on the content, really.

If it's LOTSB sized or bigger, yes. But no more than...say, 9.99.

We'll see.

If it affects the ending in a manner that foreshadows Refusal being a viable option then more than likely I'll throw some MS points at it.

If it has good gameplay, enriches the lore surrounding the Reapers, and enriches the overall experience, then I'm still on the boat.

But in all seriousness I want a Single player DLC that offers repeatable combat missions and affects my war assets. Likewise, I want a revamp of Priority Earth, where you lead and tell your forces what to do. For instance, the Krogan infantry are a more viable for dealing with Reaper ground forces than other assets, and if you choose wrong, you suffer a war asset hit or something like that. A Mass Effect 2 Suicide Mission on steroids so to speak.

I want more story, but if it's pre-ending DLC I may hesitate. I want more story post-ending.

My gut says Leviathan will be pre-ending, and future DLC will be post-ending. Why? Because Leviathan was going to be their first DLC before they botched the original end of the game and sparked backlash.

I hate Batarians, so no.  I was kinda laughing in arrival when they got screwed.

After that crappy ending of ME3, the weak DA2 and all the bad PR in the last few months, no, never. Not another dime.

No, because the only idea (to me) worse than bringing a Prothean in is a rogue Reaper.

When they come out with DLC that interests me I will gladly pay for it.

No, if mission itself is 30 min long shoot waves of cerberus idiots in oversized multiplayer map and watch few cutscenes.

I'd rather destroy the gangs and just bring them under my control. ooooooh, if they ever let me do that..... then take javik and garrus and assault Omega by our lonesome selves and take it back from the elusive with biotic explosions and geth plasma shotguns.
