As a Mass Effect fan, I am concerned about the way the series was torched. At the moment, this makes me unable to enjoy the Universe. The idea that anyone who ever enjoyed the games should just disappear if they find this last-minute gamebreaker unacceptable is bizarre if you accept the idea that the entertainment industry is there to create products that people actually want. Bioware has demonstrated a great inability to understand feedback in the recent past. That is why the message needs to be repeated until misunderstandings have been cleared away.

The series wasn't torched, you're being melodramatic and quite frankly silly. You are unable to enjoy the universe, well I feel very sorry for you. I could sit in an empty room and listen to Mordin sing or watch Tali drink through an emergency induction port and be in ME heaven. Likewise I can play ME DLC and enjoy myself. The main difference that allows me to do this is that I am not obsessing over the last 10 minutes of ME3. Besides that, the EC made me quite content with the endings. At the end of the day, the only one spoiling your enjoyment now is yourself, and thats very sad.

I'll wait for fan reviews before buying it, not trusting the "professional journalists".

I'm pretty sure BioWare ruined his enjoyment for him.

He wouldn't be here and complain about it if they hadn't.

life is made of priorities, so is gaming. His priorities are different than yours.....which are different than mine. That does not make them silly at all

I would pre-order and prepay, just to pre-hear the pre-whiners pre-cry.

Saying that the entire series was torched because of the ending of ME3 is silly. Not saying how he / she feels about the game now is silly, people can feel how they like, although a lot of people do need to grow up and move on. I think you're giving too much credit to someone who flat out describes all 3 games as 'torched' just because they dont like the ending of one.

that is how he feels, I feel similarly as I am unable to replay the game at all due to lack of emotional payoff (for me) and theme derailment (but mostly the former). The series I once loved has been taken from me....and is virtually unplayable because I find it quite pointless as my priorities were not met at all. He might not be eloquent but I know how he feels

It's the explanation that makes the most sense. And unlike you, I'm trying to see the bigger picture of the industry trends involved here as well. I'm sorry you find that silly.

I want bioware to improve the quality of their dlc's. The me2 ones were great, but I felt arrival took a step backwards when compared to Lair of the shadow broker.

I'd like the me3 dlc to be superior to LOTSB.

Thats a pretty tall order.

It feels like the natural order of things. Build on and improve, don't settle into complacency. LOTSB set the bar, now the ambition should be to raise it even further.

That's a bit too critical, and for all that typing all you're saying is "I enjoyed the endings so I'm content, because you're not, you're sad."

The main difference is not that you're carefree with the last 10 minutes. It's because you are content with the last 10 minutes. The fact you insult someone by telling them how they feel is wrong and you know it.

Leviathan dlc (normal SP dlc: Foreshadows Catalyst's logic) : Pass, then burn my copy of Mass Effect 3, although the box will make a nice doorstop.Image IPB

Don't you think thats a little extreme or overdramatic? Besides you don't have to buy it.

Of course not, I get rid of everything I don't like with fire. Image IPB

But seriously, if the current endings stay the way they are (and from everything Bioware has said this seems to be the case) then I really won't have much emotional investment in the game, if not the IP any longer. Hence, why I would probably sell my copy.

I'd pay the same I paid for the ME2 DLCs - somewhere around 5-12 EUR.

Why would you pay more for the Leviathan DLC than you did for Mass Effect 3?

I am interested in Leviathan DLC. It sounds really interesting but there is no way I would pay $ 40 / £ 25 for it.

But I would  probably pay less for it...

I'm Australian, ME3 CE cost me $120.

If I heard it's of Lair of the Shadow Broker quality? Yes. If it's of Arrival quality? Haha, no.

I would if it would make conventional victory possible in the end. Hopefully Bioware is not too proud to do this.

Well, Bioware made a great game, the ending was confusing and sad, but still good - most of the future was left to my own imagination. Then there were a lot of people who's imagination goes only towards "everybody dies" and Bioware worked for 2.5 months to make a free extended cut, which was quite awesome. The there is multiplayer which is fun and with free updates ( haven't paid anything for it, though start to think about it, because for me, it's really fun). If single player DLC is incoming which gives me more lore about mass effect, new weapons, mods, armors, new story arc, maybe new enemy types which later could be implemented in multiplayer, I'll definetly pay for it, depending on the content form 15-30 $. And if the choices you make are reflected in the ending ( not change or affect the ending but shows what happens in the future with people who were involved with that story) then it's amazing for me.

if it is comparqble to overlord and LotSB from ME2 I would pay up to 10 bucks for the Leviathan DLC I like the idea of DLKC to expand the story and increase my access to the universe I have always thought it was a good way to keep a game going and lets face it ME3 could use some side missions that take place over the course of the game it is currently distinctly lacking in that area I actually hope there are several DLC missions LotSB style quality wise and I would pay up to 10 bucks each. I can'rt wait for them to release them. If the quality is consistent then I will keep paying. I do not however wnt those stupid costume packs where I have to put my femsheo in manshep armor.
