If the rumors are true about the Leviathan DLC, I'll definitely be buying it. I'll probably pay around 10-20 dollars for it.

Why on Earth would you pay $40-$80 for a DLC? That's contributing to the problem right there. :P

As for me, no. I think I'm quite done giving BioWare my money. After playing Dragon Age II, I gave BioWare the benefit of doubt and told myself that Mass Effect 3 would be different. It turns out I was wrong, so I'm going to assume the exact same thing is going to happen with whatever game they'll release next. Unless of course, they give me a very good and legitimate reason to believe otherwise.

(assuming it's true of course)

And if so, how much would you be willing to pay?

For me, it depends on how severely it affects the story and/or endings.

Leviathan dlc (impacts ending: successful refuse option) : Yes I would, definitely. $40-80.
Leviathan dlc (normal SP dlc: Foreshadows Catalyst's logic) : Pass.

Use this formula if you want to keep it short.

I mean no insult or offense, but this is EXACTLY what is wrong with gaming today. DLC needs to die a firey death, esp when they write up the DLC and finish it before releasing the game.

I think DLC would be cool in the form of how half life 2 had episodes.. sux it died after the second one and the third never came =(

Yep, bring it on. The EC brought ME3 back to life for me, so I'm itching for "one more story". Or three.

If it affects the ending they have my money.

If not I'll wait on the sidelines until confirmation comes that they'll add to the endings or never touch them again.

The moment they do, I'll youtube the new endings and if its up to my satisfaction I'll buy every DLC they can offer.

If they don't I'll probably return ME3 and try to brain bleach it from my mind

I'm gonna buy every DLC they decide to come up with (what can I say, I'm a collector all the way when I decide to collect something).

No new ending that makes sense and ends with reunion? No dice. Why would I pay to have more adventures that quickly get nullified a the end with startroll?

If it explores the reapers in greater detail, then yes. ME3 was really disappointing when it came to their presence. All that build up, and we barely saw them. I remember thinking 'dayum, shiz is ginna go down' when I saw the horde at the end of ME2. So, yes, I'll bite if it means more spotlight for the reapers.

To everyone willing to pay for additional ending- it's ridiculous!! It's like going to shop to buy bread, paying for it, and noticing that's moldy. And now You all are gonna pay for good one? Imagine what would (will) happen when developers get used to it. *Playing Diablo3*- Diablo falls on the floor defeted by my hero... and I get notification: "You've ultimately failed, Diablo cheated You and You killed Yourself. But You can fix it and buy new ending for 9.99$ only!".

Once more: don't let devs get more money than they deserve!

OP is crazy for suggesting and even willing to pay $40 to $80 for DLC.

And yes. I'll probably buy it when it releases. Really don't care if it has an effect on the ending or not.

Well, if this DLC really has a "positive impact" on the endings (like making refusal a winning option or having Shepard alive and actually SHOWING this) I might consider it, but not for the prize you mention there, OP.

And for any other kind of DLC I have no interest at all. Before the ending-controversy I happily toyed around with the idea of buying all the missing DLC for ME2 as well, but now as far as Mass Effect is concerned my love for the series lies buried in a pile of rubble and took one last gasp before end-credits roll

I would, but only because Microsoft Points are dirt cheap to get in Europe.

I highly doubt its going to be free.. With that said, I will likely buy it. My guess as to its price? 400 MS to 800 MS points. Hopefully it'll add at least an hour or two of gameplay.
