I recently played another play through in order to play the EC DLC and also to hopefully have Shep, or what they consider is living at least. Once I played through it (and yes, I finally got Shep to breath in the rumble this time) I decided to try all the new endings. I was surprised to find the Synergy ending the one I liked the best out of all of them (although Krogan with green eyes kind was of freaky). The fact that the Reapers help rebuild and teach everyone all the knowledge from all previous cycles was so cool to me, but what really got me was when they were at the memorial wall and EDI is thanking Shep for being alive. I found I was more emotional over how she said it and how that scene played out and then how she hugged my LI then the stupid look on Kaidan's face when I put him back on the Normandy. I know he is a pouty boy anyway, but dang, his eyebrows were so overdone I couldn't keep from laughing. My Garrus one did choke me up a bit more. But anyway, I was surprised to find I liked it more then any of the others, so I was curious if anyone else did too.

On another note, anyone else think Shep should of lived at the end of the synergy one instead of the destory? I mean, she is organic and tech together, so I would think it would be the only one she could of lived afterward then the one where all tech is fried.

Yes yes yes the Reapers bribe you with their "knowledge" and you just accept the galactic violation and the fact that you've just achieved what the Reapers desired all along.

Evil always wins, because good is greedy.

Should Shepard have lived in Synthesis? I say, yes. If only to face the consequence of their own crimes.

Destroy is the only option where you don't look like a giant douche or doom the galaxy to live in fear/a new age of eugenics.

It's quite strange that the Catalyst lives in synthesis while Shepard doesn't

Sad is the day when one who desires that evil not be victorious is called horrible.

Catalyst: "Go jump in that beam and kill yourself, giving me, the embodiment of the Reapers everything I ever wanted, making me live on in perpetuity and subjigating the galaxy to my vision for the rest of eternity."

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

The Catalyst's trial would be on Earth, the alliance is run by Canadians, so no capital punishment, he could get out in a couple of hundred years, no problem

Judge: "On the count of the murder of 5 quintillion people, how do you plead?"

Catalyst: "I did not kill anyone, I helped them ascend."

Prosecutor: "OBJECTION!! Defendant is doing it again!"

Judge: "Answer the plead with guilty or not guilty."

Catalyst: "But I don't kill. I ascend. Is fire guilty of doing what it was created for?"

Prosecutor: "OBJECTION!!!"

Judge: "Either plead guilty or not guilty or you will be held in contempt of court."

Catalyst: "SO BE IT."

So, on the betrayal type view, how about this. Is Shep acting with morals and being a good person by brokering peace with the Geth, allowing Legion to give them free will, help them have peace and truly live freely and then destroy all tech, including them? So killing them is OK because they aren't flesh?

None of the endings sit well with me. That is why I reject.
However, the price of destroy does not justify synthesis.

I have no reason to not trust him (besides the fact he's a Reaper but **** it at that point), and I'm not going to sacrifice the entire galaxy so I can be morally sound. So selfish.

I don't love any of them, although the new EC makes it somewhat better. My hard save was destroying, but I do think synergy is cool. Would it be the morally right one to pick, probably not, but it doesn't change the fact I think it was cool. As a long term student with a lot of degrees in my past, I love knowledge and archeaology is a past time of mine. So the idea of being able to speak to someone who saw it ( I know, they destroyed it, but thats not the point) would be cool. I just think how it was written and what EDI said was very neat and I enjoyed it greatly. I also felt the emotional way of her saying she was now alive thanks to Shep was cool too. If you continued to help EDI her find free will and even love with Joker and helped her to grow, it just seems very emotional that SHep allowed for her to truly be alive,

A means to an end, I'm willing to use any tool I have to end it. He gave me three options, him being the enemy, Destroy.

SO rejecting the enemy is entirely selfish, but betting the fate of the galaxy to a glowing child that just told you controlled the reapers because he may or may not have provided a tool is not?
