I got my account a year ago. I've been playing Xbox 360 games for three years. Not all the games I've played will be on my account. Make sense now?

Something tells me you're lying.
Not least for how stupid this story sounds.

That's not as far-fetched as it sounds. I could say the same thing since I don't have the same gamertag I used to.

I always see posts bashing the writing of ME1,2 and 3. Granted there are plot holes, but c'mon guys. The BioWare writing staff is miles ahead of most developers.

Epic Games is better at writing an internally consistent setting, and just as good at writing interesting characters. Gears of War as a trilogy does a far better job at storytelling than Mass Effect does.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAH! HAHAHAHAHAH! Oh boy. The Gears games are GOOD! Really good games. But saying that the story and characters = good.. Seriously.

I know a lot of Gears fans who really were into the plot...

It's an okay plot, but the characters are awful and the lore is extremely inconsistent. Ranking GOW with the guys behind Assassins Creed, Deus Ex and Mass Effect is silly.

Seriously, dude. People like it. You have a hard time accepting differing opinions, aye?

I mean I find it incredible that people like Twilight, but apparently there is enough of them to warrant making all the books into movies.

True story.

Exactly. The ME writing has it's faults, but compared to pretty much every single other game out there, it's really, REALLY, good! Just go back and play something like Gears of War after having played the ME games. Maybe that'll make you appreciate the ME writing a bit more.

What about playing The Witcher games. Do you want to tell me these games are worse from a story perspective? The Witcher 2 has two completely different naratives dependend on how you chose.

Please, Gears may be pretty basic plot wise, but at least it had a happy, yet bittersweet ending that ME should've had.

The Gears 3 ending was unbelieveably cringe worthy. "We finally have a tomorrow!" uuuggghh  SO bad.

Certainly better then the original "Galactic Dark Age" ending that took 6 months to fix.  Besides, I never played Gears for story, I played for pure manly testosterone reasons, helps that females played a bigger role in GoW3.  Just saying.  Lol. :D

I had 1 gamertag for 2 years and then I left it and got a new gamertag I had for 4 years, I still have the two accounts.

Mass Effect 1 had a great overarching plot with an excellent twist, but very subpar side content. Mass Effect 2 was the opposite - the overarching plot was assembled from swiss cheese and styrofoam furniture, but the team building missions and the cast of characters were some of the best you'll ever see. Mass Effect 3 captured the feel of the Reaper war perfectly, balanced the personal and the epic parts of the series quite well and had a quite cool 'chain of deals' story going in the first two acts.

It's just my opinion though, no need to go spreading it around.

So we are judging peoples worthiness to an opinion based on what bioware games they have registered? Ok well take me see the games I have registered well these are the games I have played.

Baldur's Gate - Complete
Baldur's Gate 2 - Complete
Icewind Dale 1/2 - Not complete
Planescape torment - Complete - about 5 times.
Neverwinter Nights - Complete
NWN2 - Complete
Mass effect 1 - Complete - About 4 Times
Mass effect 2 - Complete - about 6 Times
Mass effect 3 - Completed Twice.

Have we learned our lesson yet? And hey even if this where a reliable look at what games people have played you don't have the right to lord it over someone just cos they didn't play other bioware games.

I got my Xbox a year ago. Up until then I played on my friends Xbox because I liked playing video games, he wanted to show me some cool games, I kicked it there everyday and I couldn't afford one. I got a job and bought my own Xbox so I could have my own games and saves. Plus, mooching off your friend just isn't cool.

Yeah, it is getting ridiculous at this point. "I has played more ArPeeGee's than you, therefore I am right".
Oh, and PS:T, NWN2 and IWD aren't Bioware games, but I guess you already knew that. Just pointing out.

So, just because people hate ME3, I should too? As a gamer, ME3 was heads and shoulders above most of the other stuff I've played. I'm not a BioWare fanatic, I've only played DA and ME. So I don't know how it stacks up to other BioWare works. But it is WAY better than most of the crap that comes out every year.

Funny how you just snip out what I said instead of replying to it. Then citing reviews done by over emotional/dramitc people.

Simple question: have you played ME1?

I've beaten it 6 times.

Alright.

ME1
Vigil:Your survival depends on stopping them, not understanding them.

Shepard:What do you want from us? Slaves, resources?
Sovereign:My kind transcends your very understanding. We are each a nation -
independent, free of all weakness. You cannot grasp the nature of our
existence.

Also: "We have no beginning. We have no end" ©

ME3
Yo dawg, I heard you don't wanna be killed by Synthetics. So I made some Synthetics to kill you every 50k years, so you won't be killed by synthetics. Also I'm a Casper the friendly ghost and I control the Reapers.

ME1
Paragon choices: Do the right thing.
Neutral choices: Neutral choices.
Renegade choices: A jerk who gets the job done and throws awesome on-liners. (With the exception of Shiala, totally stupid and unnecessary)

ME2
Paragon choices: Do the right thing.
Neutral choices: Neutral choices.
Renegade choices: A jerk who gets the job done and throws awesome on-liners.

ME3
Paragon choices: Do the right thing.
Neutral choices:  EA: Fans you're too dumb to know how to count to three. Therefore, there is no neutral option.
Renegade choices: A genocidal psychopath, a maniac who kils his own friends and innocent people.

ME1-ME2
Commander Shepard: Kills hundreds of mercenaries, slavers, pirates, forced to choose which of his two squadmates gets killed. In ME2 Shepard could potentialy lose 10 of his squadmates. Still mentally strong.

ME3
Some stupid kid I don't care about dies. Shepard has  nightmares.
Why should I care? Why should Shepard care?

And it's only a few of many.

Friend's on the internet?
You myst be trolling, I don't befriend people and I think people befriending other people are worthless and not worth my time, why would I bother sending anyone a friend request on any site.
But hey if someone sends me  a request then I will accept it.

I loved both ME1 and 2, but ME3 really felt sloppy and rushed to me.
They made last part in the trilogy in about the same time as they did ME2 with about the same amount of developers, yet ME3 has to combine everything from from ME1 and ME2, in terms of choices. All of them must matter, you name it. They could've done so much with Shepard Origin and his deeds in the military for example.
Also, for whatever reason, they decided that ME3 is a great way to start the trilogy -.-
If anything, ME2 is a great start for the new audience, not ME3.

Having a plot that has 2 different paths could've been great for ME3(joining Cerberus for example). That, however wasn't all that neccesary, but could;ve increased the replayability a lot.

Also, so much this:

- The intro
- Pandering to new players
- Kai Leng
- The Empire of Cerberus
- Evil Udina
- TIM becoming a grade A moron
- Misuse of Harbinger
- Misuse of ME2 characters
- Misuse of the Rachni
- Kai Leng
- The concept and execution of the Crucible
- In fact, virtually everything except Rannoch, Tuchanka and maybe Sanctuary.
