The Name "Dragon Age"

The name Dragon Age suggests to me that there would be a mountain of dragon species littering the world of Thedas. Also, why is there only one species of dragon in Thedas, especially since the dragons in Dragon Age are written to be more animal like (except in Silent Grove, that's a bit Warcraft like, pretty soon dragons in Dragon Age will have a human form that wears a bikini lol).
But if the Dragons are endangered in Dragon Age, shouldn't the Age be more of a Age of Humanity or something. The Age of the war of Magic? The Age of Douchebags?
But just a thought to ponder about. Without dragons, there can't be any Dragon Age.

Just wondering, why the name Dragon Age if there are very few dragons around?

The subtitles on this one seemed somehow appropriate.

Out of character, Dragons sell fantasy stuff.

As mentioned, the franchise was named after the age that the game takes place in. Given that Dragon Age seems to be more about mages and templars, with a hand full of dragons here and there, the name is a bit misleading. Skyrim feels more "dragon age" than Dragon Age does.
To be fair we've had two DA games, one of which was about an invasion led by a dragon.

This. That's why it was so special to see a dragon that the new age was named after them, without there being heaps of dragons around. Those very few dragons we encounter are already special.

I laugh at those who squabble amongst themselves and don't see the real threat of what is coming. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
One archdeamon down, two more to go in the next sixty five years before the Dragon Age is over.

Ahem... There have been 5 blights to date (with the 5th blight being the one chronicled in Dragon Age: Origins). Each blight is lead by an archdeamon. The theory being that the archdemons are the seven Old Gods of the Tevinter Imperium responsible for tainting the Maker's City of Gold. 5 archdeamons have been eliminated, so conventional wisdom holds that there are two more blights left to endure.

Yeah, but these last three are different than the other five. Ol' Archie has a map and is trying to break the stalemate of Darkspawn and the other deziens of Thedas. He wants to synthises everyone into one harmonious creature
