...people also say that about the revenant and the raptor...

I want to see it for myself, but ive seen a few comptetent gamer with it and it seems to be the right gun for classes where a revenant is just that tad bit too heavy

I love my harrier, it packs a significant punch, almost zero recoil, works both short, medium and long range, it's limited ammo can be troublesome at times but with certain mods it makes up for it. My headshot count is up 300% and that's without trying. I usually play as asari vanguard or human female engineer. All my loadouts are equipped with the harrier. All my other ARs are up for sale ;)  If you get one, test it out in bronze a couple of times to get used to it. You'll love it!

Well, OP just got a weapon and already has the definitive opinion on it. Thanks for sharing. Maybe try it for a few weeks then update us?

Try on bronze? a gun has to prove itself on gold before i consider it, on bronze EVERYTHING does win

The harrier at level 1 wont replace my revenant on most classes, especially because its weight, its not of use for what i wanted it, maybe once it got higher levels, it can become a gun i will use on more then a few chosen classes (i just love having 508 bullets that make noise like a army of angry krogan on red sand :D)

I can't believe people are saying it needs a buff. It is easily the best AR in the game.

Sure, maybe it could use more reserve ammo, but it is a killing machine.

To be the best AR in the game really doesn't mean that much, given how badly ARs sucks in this game...

The Harrier is the best AR and is fine the way it is. I would love for it to have more ammo (mine's at III), but perhaps that would topple the balance.
We don't need an AR that can down a banshee in one clip.

You state the Krysae and Falcon as superior weapons. The Falcon can stagger, yes, but it has pretty crap damage. The Krysae is just an abomination. Really, no other weapon compares to that crap. Most weapons don't stagger. The Harrier is accurate, has great DPS, and kills faster than most guns.

BW has started including things which make Gold pretty easy, including gear, the Krysae, the Reegar, the Vorcha, Arc Grenades, and arguably, the Harrier. You can strap the Harrier on an Engineer and top the scoreboards

I only suggested bronze to simply get aquainted with the weapon...It will pleasantly surprise you in gold i'm sure.

Any class that has grenades synergizes very well with the Harrier. It is a beast imo. The ammo is not an issue as well as far as I'm concerned. It does lose a lot of punch when using the AP mod.

Sure. Most of them suck. This one doesn't. It actually has the best sustained dps in the game. The Hurricane may be slightly higher, but the Harrier has better stability and accuracy, plus armor piercing mods. That's not to say it is the best gun in the game, as many other guns fill other functions better than it can.

It is the best AR and also one of the better guns in the game.

I would actually say for "Harrier training" Bronze isnt a bad idea, so long as you put headshots as a priority. Bronze is just an easy way to get used to the recoil, minimal spread, and the idea of burst firing at longer ranges to maximize accuracy and efficiency.

Silver and Gold can obviously be played right away with the weapon, but are far more unforgiving while you get used to it, often forcing you to go fully auto because you're panicking, and less efficient with the gun than you should be. Bronze just allows you to really practice on getting headshots, and making every shot count, so that after a few games of practice when you step up to silver and gold you should be far more proficient.

As for the gun itself, the ammo capacity is the biggest problem by far. I'd like to see the base ammo increased by 40 rounds (120/20 starting) and perhaps an extra 10 rounds added to the overall range of the weapon from 1-10 (a level 10 would have 150/20).

The DPS is wonderful, but the weight combined with the low ammo capacity, relegate the weapon to specific playstyles/class builds, which is unfortunate... a small ammo buff wouldnt drastically change things, but could make it a bit more appealing for more classes.

I read about 3 pages of stupidity and came up with the conclusion that to the OP, the disciple > harrier and any other gun that doesnt stagger. When you realise he thinks like this, does anything else really need to be said?

Did you ever shoot a Geth Hunter in the face with the Harrier? Not only does it stagger, it knocks him on his ass.

The harrier doesnt stagger so I'm not quite sure what gun you're using. I also said the OP feels that way clearly, based off of what he says, not that I do. Yes, I have as I use my harrier quite often and I enjoy playing with it. Not sure what the point of your post was.

I don't think the Harrier needs a buff.  A level 1 Harrier might lack a little damage but it has 10 levels.  Combine it with a Human Soldier and you will be alright.

The only buff it needs is a way to make it a lot more easier to get from packs in the store.

Since when a non-shotgun, non-explosive gun can stagger? Calling for buff because it doesn't stagger is beyond ridiculous.

If people are having an issue with the ammo, then Bioware should have added an ammo extention mod.
