During ME3 multiple lobby the game shows the "blue colour" speaker indicating that the detects my headphone mic, but when I press the "chat button" and talk it doesn't show the "blue colour sound waves"; which means even though the game detects the mic I cannot use it for chat.

Outside the game the mic works perfectly. If anyone knows how to solve this please help.

I have no idea if my mic is working as well since there isn't a test possibility somewhere (at least I don't think it is). I've said a few things, but never got any answer back, so either everybody is ignoring me (which ofc is a possibility) or the mic isn't working. Is there a way I can test it in the loby by looking at the icon?

Can you see the "blue colour" speaker?

sees my mic , and shows blue but does not pick up. works fine with external chat programs like teamspeak and mumble. I always thought it was because i had an analog mic.

Did you set the microphone input volume? In the windows volume settings you need to switch to the view for input instead of output and then increase the input volume on the mic. Maybe that helps?
