No thanks, I haven't tried multiplayer nor am I going to and I do that not because sit on a high "moral" horse. I do it because I consider it as a protest to dissuade Bioware from including multiplayer in any of their future "RPGs".WARMACHINE9 wrote...

AKA the MORAL high horse. Denying yourself fun Because your "protesting" is just that. Just like all the people who boycotted LFD2. It's silly and I've got some bad news for ya. Multiplayer has been really successful so your little boycott is for naught. remember They live by the almighty dollar and right now multiplayer is paying off. If you don't want to play fine, there's thousands of people who do and are.elitecom wrote...

Hell, man, I don't even do that. I've beaten ME3 twice, and I won't go back to it again for a couple more months at least. And that's still quite a bit. But yeah, all the character interactions and plot turns and whatnot really make the series for me. The multiplayer very quickly boils down to a very basic setup with precious few of the series' elements that really make it shine for me, and so I got bored of it all the more easily.

I can appreciate that. Not playing it because you find it boring is acceptable. Not playing it because you don't understand that they had a team working on multi and one on Sp thereby thinking your sp experience was affected by it is not. Also The whole protest thing is pretty silly to me as I've never seen it work with a video game. But I understand your opinion and have skipped multiplayer on other games for just that reason, though I always give it a shot just like you did with ME3.JeffZero wrote...

That's great for all of you who want to play multiplayer, I really don't care about it. I don't want anything to do with either. I have other dedicated multiplayer games I play if I want to play multiplayer. One more thing, if people boycotted LFD2, I would consider it a successful boycott. After all they didn't buy it resulting in less sales.WARMACHINE9 wrote...

I've played this game a lot. I've run the obvious builds and wepaons, and some kooky (accroding to the feedback) "kick worthy" ones. I've played as host countelss times, and joined random and specific hosted games over and over...TS2Aggie wrote...
No thank you. After what I've seen on these boards (people talking about being instakicked when joining a game, people refusing to allow those with no mics to play, people cheating, and generally being jerkasses to everyone else), I have even less desire to play it now than I did when it was first announced.
...and I've been kicked once. Literally. And it was because the guys forgort to make the room private and wanted to play with a friend.
I've had my name highlighted for a kick a few times by an unkown player in the lobby, but aside from that one time (which was announced over mic, and very polite), I have never actually been forced from a game.
Cheats? Never, ever seen it. And I'm on PC where it should be rife.
People being Jerks? Only on these forums. The vast majority of people in game have been polite and friendly, and while sometimes not very godo at the game never nasty or in any way off-putting.
ME3 multiplayer is a very solid foundation. It lacks longegevity as it's very basic, but what it does have is very enjoyable. Yes, it has a few bugs, but again I can honestly say in the hundreds of games I've played I've only had a handful end with a game breaking bug.
Not trying to convince you to play, just letting you know my experience so you're not put off by the way the MP forums present themselves.

Really? Moral high horse? I've tried MMO. i don't like them. Some people find it fun climbing into a deep dark cave and some people find it fun to sit in the sun fishing, or jumping off a bridge with a rope around their ankles. Others like to sit in front of the tv or computer and play video games with firends, strangers or by themselves. Has nothing to do with moral high horses and all to do with fun preference.

I don't hold it against anyone who doesn't play, but I have made so many new friends that it has opened up my mind to MP in a major way. I also respect the choice of those who don't have any interest in it.

All right I'll tell you right now: It has so far succeeded. I probably haven't dissuaded Bioware, but I haven't played any multiplayer at all either, so successful abstinence is successful.Kyrene wrote...

It won't work especially when the L4D2 boycott failed horribly just like every video game boycott.elitecom wrote...

I played it on the 2 day xbox live gold pass that game with ME3, and it was OK but I have no desire to play it again. Some people (like myself) play games for story, roleplaying, character interaction, exploration, etc...I don't find hoard modes/survival/running around shooting enemies over and over to be very fun. That kind of thing is filler to me and is not why I play a game. Just because you love something doesn't mean people who don't love it are somehow in denial or protesting or whatever.

I don't know about the word boycott, it seems too grand for what I'm doing and that word got more or less put in my mouth. Yes I'm attempting to dissuade Bioware from implementing multiplayer in their "RPGs", will it work? Probably not nor did I ever realistically think it would work. I'm just showing an act of defiance to Bioware's decision, nothing more and nothing less.Blueprotoss wrote...]It won't work especially when the L4D2 boycott failed horribly just like every video game boycott.
