I recently ran across an issue that puzzled me greatly and am wondering if it is caused by a corrupt installation. I have played DAO on 4 different computers. (Both my sisters and my daughter, as well as myself, own the game. Additionally, we have our own computers.) I have experienced this oddity only once. On a Windows 7 computer, DAO had been installed and then uninstalled. When I reinstalled it, I noticed characters attempting to activate skills that should have been unavailable to the currently selected weaponset. For example, a warrior attempting to use Shield Bash while a bow was equipped. This isn't an issue I had encountered previously. I've played this game not only on my own computer but also on a sister's and my daughter's. We have different makes/models, even different OSs, yet this had not occurred. I looked through the FAQ, etc., available for technical issues and even ran searches in this forum in the attempt to locate other posts dealing with this issue and found none. Any thoughts?

Answered my own question and resolved the issue. When the game was initially installed and played (by another person) on this particular computer, there was a mod that affect skills that was not removed. I went digging, found it, removed the offending piece of code and the annoying issue went away. Maybe this post can serve as a cautionary tale? lol Have a fabulous day all!
