What does last Sunday have to do with this weekend?

Canada Day is July 1st. American Independence Day is July 4th. They are in the same week this year.

I know.  Im American, was just pointing out how just because its our holiday (Canada Day) included, that nobody gets a challenge.  I dont see how this weekend is any different than another.  People have to work or travel or go to social functions on other weekends, which would cause them to miss play time. 

It could be Americans as inhabitants of the continent of North America that would include Canada.

This is excellent news! With the event postponed for a week, provided the commendation and victory packs are still issued Tuesday/Wednesday we'll unlock weapon upgrades before the event takes place, meaning we'll actually be able to use those weapons in the event itself. It'll also be great because we'll know in advance if the mission is going to be successful or not. Just imagine getting a commendation pack and then finding out the personal/squad goal was really tough!

Also, do you know if Canada Day and Independence Day will be available in the UK? I'll bring it up at work, but it'll be pretty shoddy from EA/Bioware if they aren't available here.

Other games still have their weekend challenges why can't me3 it seems almost lazy. Sorry love the game but if they implemented a counter for kills and stuff then a computer would be doing all the work so where's the brains in this. Played halo reach for a yr constantly and no trouble with having challenges everyday on it. This is one thing they to make a step up on.

Just googled Independence Day to find out if we have it in the UK. Apparently we do, but you have to make sure you get Region 2 or blu-ray.

Yes other holidays get ignored for weekend events but these 2 are so important that the weekend event must be skipped

First! Is their going to be a balance update this week?

Second! Could you please give us a little heads up regarding upcoming DLC expansions for multiplayer and single player (approx. when they will come out and what they are generally going to be about... Be as vague as you wish! lol)?

I very much doubt it. If anything, dlc will take a week longer now after these setbacks. But surely they can throw in some balance changes today since just consist of changing a few numbers

Love teaming up with my husband... we run a two-krogan team on bronze a lot and just tear up the room. He's even got his mic adjusted waaaay down low so he sounds like a krogan. LOL And then I occasionally drag him kicking and screaming into silver, which is where I usually dwell.

But as far as no operation this weekend... cool by me. It was going to be the first one where I couldn't dedicate a lot of time to it on Saturday because of haivng family over.

Well that sucks. It would be fine if Bioware A) had an event next week AND the week after to get back on schedule, and/or had next week's event give 2 N7 weapons.

But they're not going to do that. They can barely manage one event every other week; to do two in a row would cause the game to implode upon itself. And as for giving out two weapons, they seem to have decided that slowly and painfully drawing the process out is the way to go for keeping people playing this game >_<


While we're on the subject... what makes these events so difficult to pull off? It takes at least a couple of days after the event is over to determine what the heck happened, and even then there are issues with distributing packs. At some point, shouldn't completing a given week's goal automatically and quickly reward the players? Heck, shouldn't the game notify you when you complete the goal? It could save a lot of time and effort for both Bioware and the players.

*sigh* I guess I'm getting worked up over nothing. Bioware isn't obligated to hold events, or let me upgrade my promotional weapons, or anything else. It's just... disappointing.
